Best for location and accessibility
The location of the ryokan in Hakone-yumoto is very good, within short walking distance from the station and bus terminal. Aids accessibility to key transport nodes to get around Hakone! Only had difficulty finding it at first as it is slightly behind the main shopping street. But in comparison with other ryokans Ive stayed at in Hakone (other areas), I thought the ryokan is less value for money in terms of the customer service at reception, room size and the small private outdoor bath I paid extra for. The facility also looks dated and has only one small lift. But the river view from room is gorgeous and therapeutic!

The hotel is conveniently locates closer to the railway station.Everything about the stay was good except for the food. If you don’t eat beef or raw fish then you are in trouble as most of the dishes were raw fish. Also food wasn’t flavorful.

Service no good, if the bath towel hv to put it back to the room after used it at hot spring.
Check in staff have to gv us information.
No replacement unless we pay for new the towel.
We paid extra for dinner and private room hot springs, but we don’t feel they are doing their service for guests.

Amazing!
Our stay was amazing. We loved the traditional Japanese breakfast and the staff in charge of the 5th floor were amazing, especially the gentleman that would set up our room every afternoon. So polite and helpful. My kids loved that there is a little play room near the lobby
