Charming hotel

This is a charming hotel. We stayed in the suit room as a family, it was spacious and comfortable. We had a plate of fruit left by the hotel manager, which was a lovely touch. Perhaps the hotel is getting a little old at places, but that didn’t bother us. We normally stay at more modern hotels and we really like the old fashioned charm of this hotel. The rooms have balconies with a stunning view of the Anitkabir, the key monument in the city. Central location, easy to get to on the metro.

Comfortable Hotel with proffessional staff

I stayed for around 6 days at Ickale Hotel and I can only share my positive feedbacks about that hotel.First of all the staff, personal were too friendly and responsive to my needs.They offered water and fruits for free during my stay. The breakfast at hotel is really good. The location is in the center and close to anywhere to get in Ankara.

We stayed at hotel Ickale for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay . We were able to plan our trip and Serken was very helpful throughout. The room was good size and had double balcony and jacuzzi. Te Hotel is based in a area where everything is in easy reach by walking, taxi, buses. The property is beautifully decorated and very clean. The staff were very nice, friendly and very helpful. The room we had was very comfortable and clean too but there was only one downfall there was a damp smell coming from the bathroom which was very strong at times. We did mention this situation to the staff but we were only staying for the one night and no other rooms were available due to celebrations of Republic Day in Turkey.

Beautiful hotel, 30 years old but designed to look antique. Stunning lobby, amazing service. Definitely would stay here again. Mini bar lacks wine and spirits, but there is a bar, possibly accessed via room service. Breakfast was adequate, but breakfast room is beautiful. Lovely quiet neighborhood, subway within 5 minutes walking distance. Couldn't find a breakfast cafe open by the time I reached the subway entrance, so I looked further afield. Nevertheless, the room was beautiful and comfortable, with great view of Atatürk's mausoleum. Would much rather stay in a hotel with character than something too standard, modern, and expensive. All the hotel staff were amazingly helpful and kind, especially all the bellboys and the front desk staff, including Sarp.

Ive had a very lovely stay...i came back and stayed again for a week! I was made to feel very welcome. The hotel had a pleasant atmosphere and attentive service" It was really nice hearing the piano played in the lobby too ...very relaxing ! Sibel at reception was very helpful always with a beautiful smile 😊 She changed me to a lovley room with a great view and helped with all my bookings. Her front desk management is very good 👌 Ive stayed in a few different rooms ...all were very clean and comfortable. The pillows were really nice and thd beds are very comfortable too! Mihrac from guest relations is excellent at her job ,making guests feel very comfortable and seeing to all there needs. Mihrac upgraded me to a suite with a jacuzzi bath for my last two nights making my stay a very memorable one. I enjoyed a swim in the heated pool and had a few lovely massages. All staff have been great ! Im leaving today feeling well rested and very happy with the service. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel. Many thanks from me... to you all at Içkale hotel 😊

Disappointing Experience Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel got off to a poor start. Upon entering our room, we were greeted by dirty mugs with leftover tea and a shower floor littered with hair. To make matters worse, the shampoo and conditioner bottles were half-empty. Although the front desk promptly sent housekeeping to address the issues, we were disappointed by the lack of apology or concern. When we mentioned the incident during checkout, the response was dismissive, with the staff simply stating, "We cleaned it." While we appreciate the effort to rectify the situation, the overall experience fell short of our expectations. As a hotel, attention to detail and customer satisfaction are crucial. Hopefully, the management will take our feedback seriously and take necessary steps to improve their services. Rating: 2/5 Stars - Not Worth the 5-Star Rating Given its 5-star rating on Expedia, we expected a much higher level of service and cleanliness. Unfortunately, this hotel fell short of our expectations.

Oteldeki personeller gerçekten çok ilgisiz umursamazlardı yabancı misafirlere ilgi ve hizmet verdiler adeta günaydın diye kahvaltı yerine gittim hiç bir personelden günaydın cevabı alamadım.Fakat yabancı turist misafirlerin yüzlerine baya gülümsediler inanmıyorlarsa kameradan izleyebilirler . Kendi ülkemizde 4.sınıf vatandaşı olduk gerçekten çok yazık . Kaldığım oda gerçekten çok kötüydü sıradan bir apart odasıydı . Havuz için ekstra havlu dahi veremeyeceklerini söyledi resepsiyondaki arkadaş . Hizmet gerçekten çok kötüydü bir daha gitmeyeceklerim arasında bu otel . Anıtkabir manzaralı olması güzel bir detay, odamdan manzara gerçekten etkileyiciydi. Otel konum olarak da merkezi, ulaşım açısından avantajlı. Personel ilgili ve yardımcı olmaya çalışıyor. Ancak odaların dekorasyonu biraz eski kalmış, yenilenmeye ihtiyaç var. Kahvaltı ise beklentinin oldukça altında, çeşit az ve kalite zayıf. Genel olarak kısa konaklamalar için idare eder ama fiyat/performans açısından çok da tatmin edici değil.
