I deliberately chose the dearer of the two Trivelles hotels, Waterhall, but on arriving I was told I had been "upgraded" to the other hotel, Gatwick. On transferring, I found that my "upgraded" room had no aircon or even a fan, (in a heatwave).
The TV was mounted askew on the wall, and didn't work. The receptionist said that the remote needed new batteries, but he returned the remote with the original mismatched batteries. He said he'd find a replacement remote, but was never seen again.
There were two working lights in the room (one central, one bedlight, the other one not working). Despite a total of six switches, the bedlight didn't operate independently of the central light. What idiot wired the room?
The common parts stank.
