It was very nice old buildings, a little bit cold! But overall it was good! But dont go shopping on a sunday becuase almost everything is closed! The food in the restaurant was amazing! Top notch!

Wonderful historic location with lots to explore and see. A bit inconvenient that you are not housed near the reception, but a 7 minute walk away. At least we could just leave the key when we checked out, so we didn't have to return to the reception. Our rooms were in an old villa with amazing interior that felt 200 years old - very cool.

Our trip was probably not well matched to this hotel (which isn't their fault at all!). We checked in close to 9pm at the hotel restaurant as the front desk was closed. We missed out on some of the fine attractions of the hotel like the expansive sitting rooms in the main lodging building. Room was exactly as pictured. Plenty of space, nice lake view (the next morning when we got up), excellent breakfast buffet. The luxury beds were too soft for my liking. I get that they're meant to offer gentle conforming support, but I felt like more than one night might have not gone well for my back. Floors are very old wood, so they're noisy. More nice carpets like what was under the desk, over where we put our feet down at night would be a big improvement. We woke each other up trying to tiptoe to the bathroom in the night. Creak-creak!
Our room was on the top floor of this historic building. Note that check in happens about 50 meters down the way.

Var där med min fästmö för Vätternrundan. Underbart tyst och lugnt läge med fantastisk inre och yttre miljö. Frukosten var perfekt med mer än tillräckliga alternativ. Extra plus i kanten var det trevliga samtalet från hotellet dagarna innan vistelse med frågan om jag önskade en nerpackad frukost inför loppet, om jag skulle starta tidigt. Det är service!

Nous avons voyagé dans le passé. Nous avons apprécié le charme de l'ancien, même si de prime abord le bâtiment peut sembler un peu austère. Nous avons aimé la déco (qui peut sembler désuète pour certains voyageurs) et nous avons adoré l'ambiance du buffet du petit déjeuner qui se déroulait dans un bâtiment adjacent à celui dans lequel se situait notre chambre (approximativement 30 mètres à parcourir en extérieur). Nous avons apprécié l'accueil chaleureux et la proximité du SPA dans un bâtiment annexe (situé à environ 150 mètres). Nous avons eu la chance d'être surclassés :) Un ascenseur pour accéder aux chambres serait le bienvenu quand on voyage avec de gros bagages.

Vi blev lite förvånade över att inga rum låg i den gamla fina byggnad som receptionen ligger i, utan i flera byggnader i närheten. Vi bodde i Lilla slottsvillan, sex-sju minuters promenad från klpstret, och det var ett gammeldags men trevligt rum, med ett modert badrum. Tvättfatet var dock väldigt liter med en opraktisk hylla ovanför. Allt var rent, men byggnaden var i stort behov att målas utvändigt. Frukosten var oerhört bra, och serverades inne i klostret, vilket var en fin upplevelse. På det hela taget en treclig vistelse, trots det negativa som sagts ovan.
