I have stayed here over the last five years eveytime I come into town. Always clean and comfortable. Staff is very helpful with qurstiins and needs. Close enough to the shops to walk. Just LOVE it all!

Our door did not locked and last year we went the same place. We had to change rooms because the door didn’t lock, and the air conditioner is very loud at night.

The Howard Johnson nice and clean and it's only a one-block walk to downtown. The rooms and lobby have recently been remodeled and most of them are away from street noise. The bathroom is spacious with great lighting but the room lighting in general is a bit too indirect and subdued. Oh, the lack of a lounge chair forced me to watch TV from the desk chair and it just wasn't comfy enough for that. But the overall quality is high and that's what matters most.
