The pool not quite 28-30 degrees outside but still pretty good temperature. Not a fancy spa by any means but okay. Rooms are fine and quiet, green area around the hotel, food reasonably good.

Smell of smoke in the room. The lady at the reception told me it was due to people smoking on the balcony… room and furniture are quite old. Breakfast? Nothing special, no cappuccino

Considering what you pay you have some expectations. If it were not for the SPA/Pool area it was not 4 star in my point of view. The rooms that were rented lacked service. Tv hanging wrong on the wall. A hair dryer was kaput in one room. Many rooms had transparent curtains and was still rented out like nothing. In some rooms there are carpets. Which seems to keeps tufts of hair from prior renters that is quiet nasty for a 4 start hotel. the carpet havent been changed last 15 years since last visit there. My first visit was start struck and well deserved 4 star almost 5. But something have changed in the last 15 years. There are major concern about lack of maintenance, knowing from what it had been to what is now. To put it simply My expectation was 4 star and i picked it from prior experience. But was let down by the maintenance. Had I known it had changed to this I would done another hotel 4 or 5 star even if had cost more. This said I checked out a day early even it was payed for.

Havde bestilt vær. m hjørnebadekar. Det vær. vi fik havde kun brus. Vi nåede og opdage det ved indtjekning. Det bedste hun kunne gøre var at give os en nedgradering til et værelse i den gamle bygning med et lille badekar. Vi aftalte at der ville blive givet et rimeligt nedslag i prisen når vi tjekkede ud - vi fik 10€. Desuden var værelset fyldt med banan fluer og varmen virkede ikke… Kommer ikke igen…

Vi har nu været på Hotel des Norden mere end 10 gange over de sidste 3 år. Vi nyder meget at komme på hotellet og personalet kender os efterhånden. Vi havde bestilt et ophold på 4 overnatninger men ændrede det til 5 da vi ankom. Vi var dog utilfredse med faciliteterne i badelandet, vi ved at mandag er det rengøring indtil kl. 14 men at det indendørs bassin så skal overtages af larmende vand aerobic damer i halvanden time så det ikke var til at være der for andre mennesker og samme skete igen onsdag eftermiddag hvor vi lige ville ned og bade inden aftensmad, men det var ikke muligt at være der da de fyldte det hele. Ydermere måtte vi så ikke bade resten af dagen da der var gået en klorpumpe men alligevel måtte aerobic damerne godt være i vandet i halvanden time. Det var lidt utilfredstillende, vi så flere par komme for at bade men måtte fortrække igen. Vi er glade for hotellet, badefaciliteterne og spa området for ikke at tale om Gus - så vi kommer helt sikkert igen, selvom dette var et par triste oplevelser.

Aquapointen är väldigt bra med trevlig personal. Incheckningen gick snabbt och smärtfritt. Badrummet hade behövts att uppdateras med dusch.

Aftensmad var virkeligt i bund. Det eneste man kunne få, var buffet, som var meget under standard. Paneret fisk, sød kylling, svinekød, både kartoffelsalat og "flødekartofler" var tydeligvis fra en spand. Frisk salat bestod kun af salat, agurk, tomat. Og ellers var der kun deres fermenterede, sure kål. For få parkeringspladser. Ellers rent og pænt, og dejlig suite.

Værelse ok rent og i fin størrelse, seng komfortabel, dog kan man godt se det er ældre bygninger så der er en del slid rundt omkring. Service niveau er meget på deres side, ej mulighed for forlængelse af check ud på grund af mange afrejser, ikke fordi værelset var lejet ud. De vil gerne have tidligere check ud for at undgå kø i receptionen, ikke meget for at imødekomme gæsterne. Morgenmad er velassorteret men aftensmad buffet var ikke helt pengene værd i vores øjne.

Alt i alt et okay ophold

Alt i alt et okay ophold. Vores værelse var hundekoldt, og radiatoren virkede ikke. Men ellers var værelset super fint. Happy hour i baren er ret mismisende, da det normalt er, at når man køber en, får man to. Dette var så kun på én bestemt drinks. Og der manglede service i den lille bar. Og ofte lange køer, og flere gange gik bartenderen i lange perioder. Wellnes området er ikke værd at skrive hjem om. Morgenmaden var rigtig lækker.

Lousy elevator

Alt var fint, bortset fra elevatoren, der var for lille til kørestolen. Vi måtte afmontere fodstøtterne og vride lidt med den for at få plads. Det betød også en ekstra tur for at få bagagen til og fra værelset. Men alt i alt var deet etn god oplevelse at bo på Hotel des Nordens.
