A very pleasant, clean & comfortable place to stay just five minutes walk from the Minster & city centre. There is a homely feel to the place and the proprietors were both friendly & efficient. There was a good choice of breakfast items & the full English was superb. Would definitely stay here again.

The City Guest House is a perfect place to for a short stay. Julie and Alan the owners were very welcoming and we found our room comfortable, spotlessly clean. A very good breakfast and buffet kept us going for most of the day.

We had an excellent stay. Julie and Alan are the most amazing hosts & people you will meet. If you are looking for a 5* hotel with gym and saunas this place aint for you. If you are looking for a clean local guest house 5 min from Minster with hosts who will go above & beyond the this is everything you could ask for. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. Absolutely Fantastic, Allan and Julie are a fantastic couple,nothing was to much trouble very friendly homely and spotlessly clean.Will definitely be going back. Close to city wall easy walk to the shambles and Minster .

Fantastic stay, close to all the highlights of york, could not fault the accommodation. Both of proprietors are amazing and make you very welcome. We stayed in dec and the place was nicely decorated for Christmas, the gingerbread scent in the hallway was lovely. The accommodation is very clean and tidy with all you need for a comfortable stay.
