The reception staff were beyond kind, which was an extremely refreshing greeting upon arrival, after having to leave our previous accommodation due to negligence. We booked The Boathouse Apartments, and arrived within the hour - and the staff had already ensured that all nuts, and nut products had been removed from the room (anaphylaxis) They were always friendly, the apartment was immaculate, as well as the spa, pool, and general public areas/walkways were spotless. I definitely could not rate The Boathouse highly enough!

Such a beautiful spot only 5mins walk from the main shops. The staff were so accommodating. My flight was over 3hrs late and missed the reception time and they were so accommodating and providing me instructions on how to access. The view was beautiful over the port and such an amazing sunrise to wake up to looking at the mountain. I would absolutely stay here again!

The Boathouse Apartments market their property as "Luxury" apartments. They are far from that! The apartment we received was run down, dirty and in dire need of a refurbishment to meet "Luxury" standards. Even the toilet hadn't been properly cleaned. My wife and I were reluctant to write this review, so emailed the Boathouse Apartments twice regarding our stay and concerns - both emails they completely ignored so hence we are now writing this negative review. We could go into great detail but ultimately don't waste your money staying here. Book early and book somewhere else!

Unit was great but could more utensils eg 2 teaspoons only. One bath towel per person is a little skimpy for 6 days. The balcony table legs were wobbly and one came off when trying to move it. Overall it is a great place just needs a few simple tweeks.

From the moment you step into the apartment, you realise youve made the right choice. The smell of the apartment hits you first, they've chosen a perfect diffuser scent that is not overbearing but makes itself known - and instantly gives a positive impact. Then your eyes are locked straight ahead, through the apartment, to the glass balcony doors, where the marina , the ocean and the sky take your breath away. The views and location set Boathouse ahead of all the other hotels I've stayed in at Airlie. There are 2 restaurants and a coffee place onsite. It is a few brief minutes walk across the road to the main street of Airlie. The apartment (2 bedroom) is spacious, luxurious and modern. Fully equipped kitchen (all utensils, cutlery, crockery and homewares) , balcony off bedroom as well as off lounge area, overlook the marina and provide a perfect outdoor setting to relax and watch the sunsets. Will definitely be back (am a local, Proserpine, who stays in town when socialising or events) - this is my new favourite accommodation!

Excellent location, great staff, beautiful views of the marina. However apartment 118 is in need of an upgrade. Moldy blinds and outdoor couch, uncomfortable bed, shower would flood if water pressure was too high and the outdoor fan wasnt working so too hot to sit outside and enjoy the views. Needs a good clean If you are staying there ask for a different room as they privately owned. Staff were lovely and location close to shops and restaurants. Just a shame the apartment was a let down
