Very nice place to stay.
Food was fabulous both in the evening and breakfast.
Only criticism is that it was a little worn out in the room. However the bathroom was excellent.

Great place to stay. Clean, friendly staff and nice breakfast. The area is great, very close to Rutland Water. Do not be concerned about being above a pub, there was limited noise and we were not disturbed at any point. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Very pleasant stay and good value as a very good breakfast was included. There was no food on the Sunday evening we were there and there was a private event which caused some noise late into the evening.

Staff were nice and helpful but lots of flies in the restaurant. This is very annoying to me as well as my family while having breakfast together in the morning.

It was ok. I think if you look at it as a 16th century coaching inn, youll be disappointed but its fine and staff were all helpful, and breakfast good. Room was a bit small and if you stay there at the weekend , be prepared for noise in the room from the bar/live music

Room was small but relatively comfortable. It was above the bar and the noise was annoying especially at weekends, when it went on (outside) until 12.30am! Weekend staff a little inexperienced on breakfast but overall options were good, and owner served week days when the service was exceptionally good. Very good location in the centre of town with lots of interesting places to visit and nearby in Rutland.

Food, the tapas, was excellent as was the beer. There was a mix up on check in but that got resolved. The standard double main room is small but had everything and I especially like the nespresso coffee machine to get my caffeine kick!
Bathroom was immaculate, would stay again but only for 1 or 2 nights at a time.
Location is spot on and on site free parking is ideal.
