This is the worst hotel/motel I have ever been in or stayed in. It is a sketchy disgusting and disturbingly unclean poorly managed property. Someone had clearly broken in the door of the room I was put in and even though there was a no smoking sign on the door it smelled like cigarettes so badly that my eyes were burning. I ended up just checking out. There were stains all over the walls, the remote did not work for the TV, I asked to be put in a different room that did not smell so bad and was told there were no other rooms even though I could see on the screen that most of the rooms were open and also on the website it said they were multiple vacancies for every type of room. Even though I booked through hotels check in not exaggerating took over 30 minutes, The guy at the desk kept trying to take a picture of my ID front and back Even after I told him it was illegal to do so for a federally issued ID, I had to put my hand in front of the camera to stop him he did not care and I'm pretty sure he scanned it anyway while I was telling him not to. They want a $50 deposit and will not return it unless you physically bring the used door key back to the front desk which as I mentioned is not the most efficient. This place looks and feels like a place where you would go to buy a hooker in a movie. I'm sure that's also possible in real life at this establishment.

Booked this hotel through Expedia because it was close to my destination for the next morning. The person there tried to tell us that we never paid for the room and that he wants $165. The payment was done through Expedia. HE TOLD ME THEY DO NOT TAKE EXPEDIA. He’s keep tell us that they don’t take Expedia and that I owe him $165 to stay there. I contacted Expedia they called him. He hung up the phone on them. Expedia called back. He picked up the phone and slammed it down even though I showed him the payment had gone through my bank. Then he pulled up some weird account on without my credit card number on it. He said this is you this is you it declined declined!!! Not us and not my card. He says you owe me $165 this is a motel six and the sketchy part of Hickory. I’m gonna say don’t walk away but run.RUN!!!!!
