Premier Hotel OR Tambo is one of my favorites. I have stayed there many times through the last 10 years. The staff have always been very kind and helpful. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable. The food is very good whether Ala cart or buffet. It feels like home to me when I come to Johannesburg. I am from the US. I will continue to stay as long as I come.

Older, tired hotel in need of a refresh

Checked into a non smoking room. Surrounding rio s were cigar smokers. They changed my room to top floor. Windy outside, draft coming through windows. Aircon unit loud. TV sized like a computer terminal and impossible to figure out how to use. Second day, entry card locked out. Was happy to leave.

This is a great, safe, clean property that is close to the airport. There is not much going on around the hotel. Free shuttle to and from the airport every 30 min. The rooms are big and so are the bathrooms. The hotel has a nice breakfast and we had dinner there as well.

Some of the reception staff wasn’t very friendly but the restaurant and porter were welcoming. Hotel room shower had very little pressure making it very difficult to shower. The house keeping burnt my daughter’s pants sent for laundry. It was also a bit noisy at times. Overall it’s a decent hotel with an efficient shuttle to and from the airport.
