I stayed her for 3 nights and had a large room with comfortable twin beds, decent bathroom, air conditioning, TV and acceptable wifi. There are also several common areas and a dining room where breakfast is served. Breakfast is a bit ho-hum with tinned fruit, flavoured yogurt, cereal (no muesli), bread, white rolls, Portuguese style croissants, cake, ham and cheese. There are also coffee and juice machines.
The hotel is located less than a minute’s walk from both the bus and train stations. A bargain is the €0.90 trip to Lamego on Route 103, the scenery (along with Lamego) are worth the trip. Also worthwhile is the train trip up the Douro.
The room would have been perfect if it had a small fridge and kettle or if these plus a microwave were available in one of the common areas. That said the room was very good value for money.
