A great location - a few minutes to the station and 10-15 min walk to old town. Really nice Ryokan style facility - shoes off at the entrance, Tatami mats throughout, group and individual onsens on the top floor with views of the city And the breakfast buffet was an impressive array of eastern and western foods.

An unusual property the entire floor in the building is covered by tatami-like mat so everybody needs to take shoes off on the first floor. The onsen bath room is on the 13th floor with a good Takayama town view.

Onsen view overlooking northern alps during clear weather. Pte onsen usage could have improved by booking slot to prevent time slot over run served as a reminder. During my stay, encounter a foreign couple being inconsiderate who occupied more than 1 hour.
