Ticks all the boxes for a one night stay on the way down to the South West. Friendly host, nice bedroom, excellent food and a good selection of drinks at the bar.

A really lovely place to stay - By far the best in the area. It has a homely feel. the staff are helpful, friendly and keen to make your experience a good one. A really well run business. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Full marks all round. Great food, for adults and children. Friendly staff, warm welcome. Room was clean, spacious and comfy. Breakfast was freshly cooked. Absolutely perfect, start to finish. If we are ever back this way, will definitely stay again.

This is what a country pub should be like. Excellent food served in a stylish and informal setting by professional and friendly staff. A wide range of casks and draught ales and lagers was accompanied by a rounded wine list with many flavoured spirits and interesting concoctions available for the more adventurous. The menu was both varied and interesting, the food well presented and of an excellent standard. The room was spacious and well appointed with a large ensuite that included a rolltop bath. The complete package is competitively priced and excellnet value. We will definitely return for another indulgent stay. Thank you Sarah, Paul and team.

What a lovely place!
The room was surprisingly large with a more than spacious bathroom and both really clean.
The adjoining pub/ restaurant had a really good atmosphere with a good range of beers. Staff were really nice friendly willing to help out wherever they can.
I strongly recommend booking a table as from what I could see the place is very popular and you do t want to miss out on trying the food!

Fantastic stay, room had contactless check-in, lovely local pub atmosphere, the menu choice was stunning, matched only by the quality and presentation, when we got the bill we thought that they had missed some items but it turned out to be just incredible value, 2 x 3 courses and 5 drinks under £80, Sarah and Paul are fantastic hosts and should be very ñtoud of their business. My only suggestion would be another shelf in the bathroom and something to hold toiletries in the shower (although these might be in the other rooms already) all in all i would thoroughly recommend the 5 Dials and will definitely stay again (maybe in the summer to enjoy the outside area)

Our stay at the Five Dials was very enjoyable, even if it was just for one night.
Our room was immaculately clean and spacious. The breakfast included was fabulous, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend anyone - thank you!
