Brilliant hotel for a city break with kids. Lots of choice at breakfast, all areas of hotel bright and clean. Friendly staff even when arriving at midnight. Great location for walking and next door to a station so easy to get everywhere. Cannot recommend this hotel enough

The room was clean and bigger than expected for single occupancy. Short walk to Potsdamer Platz. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as it was €27 (€24 if booked in advance) which is expensive but comparable to what other hotels charge I guess. Overall a good experience

1st time stayed in Scandic Hotel - Loved it! We really enjoyed staying in this hotel. Cleaned facility, walkable distance to Malls & restaurants & U-Bahn (U2) station, surrounding felt very safe, nice & quiet in the evening, comfy bed, good hospitality, and best of all—- excellent breakfast! We traveled over 40 countries in the past 20 years and stayed in accommodations from AirBnB to 5 stars hotel, this one is worth to mention; we will stay here again next time .

Great staff, good location. Good food and coffee outlets nearby. Nice rooms. Wonderful breakfast although coffee machine beans flavour not quite to my taste. Just a couple of niggles; arrived Saturday and left Monday but no housekeeping service? The shower handset holder was broken and head flopped down, so showering meant holding the handset constantly.

Scandic Berlin Potsdamer Platz offers the best value to anyone visiting Berlin as a tourist. It's located in an extremely convenient spot with a subway station entrance within a 2-3 minute walk. We had absolutely zero issues and inconvenience getting to the hotel from Berlin Brandenburg Airport when we came to Germany and on our way back. Do not waste money on Uber / Taxicab - public transport in Germany is super clean, safe and convenient. Most major landmarks are within walking distance - we really enjoyed walking to the Museum Island, Brandenburg Gates and Bundestag. There is a nice little mall located 300 meters away (4 minute walk) which has plenty of dining options to explore. You can also buy some snacks and water there if you wish. It became our favorite during a week-long stay. Hotel rooms are super clean and well maintained. Hotel staff is super polite and helpful. The breakfast was worth every penny and is the best hotel breakfast I've seen. This place is a jewel. Will recommend it to all my friends and will stay there myself.

Title: “Your key to sleeping with a clear conscience.” You keep the conscience, I get the bill. 130 euros per night. I walk into the room: an oversized bathtub, the perfect symbol of everything the keycard slogan pretends to fight. The air conditioning is running, even though it’s 21 degrees outside. Then I look at the keycard. It says: “Your key to sleeping with a clear conscience.” That’s when everything becomes clear. It’s a simple setup: they provide everything that consumes — water, energy, comfort — and then shift the moral burden onto you. Want a fresh towel? You’re part of the problem. Decline housekeeping? Perfect. Here’s your ethical excuse. On the door, next to the usual “Do not disturb” sign, there’s another one: “Save the planet, no need to clean my room today.” Translation: skip the service, help us cut labor costs. Environmental messaging used to justify budget optimization. The bathtub drains water. The AC runs by default (yes, it shuts off if you open the window, fine). But somehow, you’re the one made to feel guilty if you ask for an extra towel. This is Scandic’s version of sustainability: don’t touch anything structural, just cut what can be pushed onto the guest. The hotel presents itself as eco-conscious, but in practice, it’s asking you to “do your part” so they can widen their margins. No towels. No cleaning. No consumption. You’re not a guest. You’re a low-impact operational unit, ideally managed with minimal staff. And here comes the moral punch
