This is an excellent hotel for a short stay in the peaks. Extremely dog friendly, with a dog wash for muddy paws! Clean and modern, guest lounge and great bar/dinning area.

Bike and Boot is a classy unpretensious hotel with great facilities and delightful staff. Easy access by train and bus and the centre of miles of great footpaths.

Love the stay, very dog friendly, very clean and very quiet one down side is wished could be more variety on the breakfast buffet other than that I do recommend Bike and Boot to all the dogs owners that looking for somewhere to stay with their dogs and still get a full hotel experience cuz this’s the place for it.

Good hotel and good facilities on site and a sound base for lots of walking in the area. Charged me again and more than the actually booking was on check in though. So had to arrange to get that refunded

We loved staying here. Perfect base for a cycling trip. Staff were very helpful and friendly and facilities were fantastic. Food at the restaurant was good too and everything was generally great. We are already planning coming back!

Not exactly a charming village inn but it was warm, clean, efficient, and offered very good service. Seemed great for dogs and families alike while my partner and I had a great stay.

Darran, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

A great hotel in excellent condition but the lack of air conditioning on some of these hottest days of the year was an issue. Road noise was also an issue despite the double glazing.

Gem, 3-night trip

6/10 Okay

Pros: -Cool decor -Good quality facilities -Good location -Very clean -Able to check in early -Chilled atmosphere Cons: -No aircon -Loud traffic throughout night as window needed to be open (30° heat, with only a small fan) -Poor selection of drinks in bar -Boil own eggs at breakfast weren't in hot enough water, after 7 mins egg was still almost raw. -Poor breakfast selection, wasn't expecting a full english but there was no sauces or hot chocolate.
Jack, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Great place to stay. Dog friendly

Excellent hotel. Spotlessly clean. Good sized room, comfortable bed, spacious shower with good pressure and plenty of hot water. Added bonus was tv set up for chromecast so could stream netflix etc from phone. Strong wifi throughout premises. Dog friendly. Only negatives were traffic noise in front facing rooms which could be an issue for very light sleepers. Food generally very good but continental breakfast somewhat average.
John, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Absolutely excellent. Wonderful place, fantastic restaurant, thoughtful touches (our pup was very pleased with her welcome tennis ball!). I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast but there was a good variety available.
Emma, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

A must for those travelling with dogs!

Amazing hotel in an amazing location for travelling around the Peaks. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable with enough space. The Wadobi is perfect for cleaning up the dogs who were made as welcome as ourselves. Will definitely stay again!
James, 2-night trip

Really nice stay, loved the area! Just wish there was a thermostat in room as was a little to warm.
John, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

excellent restaurant staff

I’ve stayed here a number of times when on work trips as it’s nice to able to have a short walk in the Peaks after work. Always welcoming and maintained to a good standard. I was in a ground floor room for the first time and was a little concerned thw road noise would stop me sleeping but I actually had the best nights sleep Special thank you to the waitress on 23 April (sorry didn’t catch her name) very attentive and pleasant.
Graeme, 1-night trip

Bright and shiny

Lovely looking hotel in a great location for the Peak District. Nice, clean and vibrant colours everywhere. Room was comfortable (no air con though, just a desk fan) with a nice colour scheme, lots of pillows and nice touches. Bar/restaurant is bright, food was good (calling it a continental breakfast is a bit of a stretch). Some of the staff could do with smiling more and actually show some enthusiasm to the guests (not all, some was pleasant)
