Bear country room with a view.

The room was amazing and the view off of the balcony was breathtaking. Within the first hour of being there we encountered a moma bear and her two cubs. That was the cherry on top. We will definitely stay there again.

There were only 2 hiccups the shower handle wasn't working and we had to wait to get to our parking spot on a couple that had to strap down their motor ycles and car before we could get to our parking spot. We loved the chalet it was very peaceful

Great Cozy Room with a View

Cozy room with a beautiful view of the Smokey Mountains. Very quiet location in the woods, with a running brook and coy pond. Saw a huge bear cross the street about a mile from the room, so that was a plus 😆 About 30 to 40 minutes from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, through small towns. Hillbilly Restaurant is very close and they have a good breakfast buffet. You will not be disappointed when you stay here. There's no front desk. You get a code to enter the property after 10PM and codes to get into the building and your room. Apartment size fridge, Keurig, microwave. We will be back.

anniversary

The directions to the unit were confusing and the walk down to the unit was difficult. Not sure it would be doable for elderly or disabled. Two lights were out...shower and bar area. Coffee was not stocked and clock was incorrect and we were not able to set it. Was a nice unit but felt there was no one to call for help...a call to the "emergency number" was not returned. Was a nice unit however and we enjoyed our stay.

It was the most beautiful over night stay I’ve experienced in a very long time. I have nothing at all to say except good things. It was the closest to heaven I’ve ever felt and honestly have ever been. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and I know I will return to this extraordinary place. Thank you so much for having me and my mommy and for giving me some much needed comfort and joy reminding me that God is truly magnificent and very much alive. My heart overflows with gratitude. Magic took place during this one night stay. -Angell and Sheryl from across the state back in east TN.

Had the entire building to myself, not even any staff, in a colonial-style building with charm. Very quiet, beautiful views from chairs on balcony.

We had some difficulties getting the lock to operate and the door was hard to open. However, we enjoyed the accommodation. We would have liked having a toaster. Spectacular views!!

This is a very non conventional, well appointed, scenic and peaceful place with loads of central areas for guests to enjoy! It’s very different from your ordinary B&B, resort or hotel. Be sure you know what floor you require as there are three levels and no elevator. And know that though there are fireplaces shown and jacuzzi style tubs listed in some rooms, the owner or management request that you don’t use them. Having noted that as a heads-up, you can’t go wrong. The place itself and the surroundings are very charming and scenic! I’d go back for sure.
Kimberly, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

The stay was amazing with a beautiful view. The only thing I could say was less than perfect was the doors. The main door would not latch unless you held it shut for a few seconds. It wasn’t the biggest issue ever but was a little annoying at times. The door to the room we stayed in could have used some things to help us feel more secure. What I mean by this is that the door had gaps above and below it and the frame. There also wasn’t really a lock on the door; it had a switch so that the keypad on the other side couldn’t be operated but it would have felt more secure with an actual lock. The property also has an amazing observation deck with a spectacular view the only issue is that if you go through the doors to the observation deck the only way back in is by going through the front door of the lodge there is no way to get back in through the door that leads to the observation deck. Overall an amazing experience but I feel like if the property felt a little more secure there wouldn’t be any other place I’d rather stay while in the pigeon forge/gatlinburg area.

Everything was great except no hot water on first night.
Garland, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The place was in a beautiful setting. Decorated superbly. Loved the themed doors and rooms. Difficult for many guest to use the locks. We helped one couple how to use the light in room. People would leave the main door ajar. And also saw/smelled guest smoking dope on grounds. A person just needs to be there.
Kim, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

I liked the fireplace but there was no wood. We had to run out and buy it. The heater didnt heeat above 66. There was not any fireplace tools like poker little shovel etc. No water like most places give 2 waters. Only 2 decaf coffees. We like caffeine. Very disappointed. No one here to talk to about it.
Linda, 1-night trip

Shower pressure was terrible and ir took a ver long time to get any hot water. We did get to see a bear.
