Staff were amazing and went out of their way to provide excellent service… However, a few niggles with room and amenities let overall score down….
We were allocated a double room when I requested a twin, as to be expected with father and daughter sharing a room, this was rectified quite quickly but after a midnight check-in it wasn’t ideal.
It also became apparent very quickly that standard EU plugs would not work, again rectified quickly when I was offered the correct adapter but at a cost of Fr.15, but when the rest of our party checked in the following day, they were provided one for free…..
The biggies issue though was the temperature of the room we were allocated, far too warm and air con not working properly (blowing out hot air regardless of setting, checked by maintenance but not resolved and told it was “working correctly”). It was so uncomfortable we had to ask for a room swap, sadly none available at time of request so offered a refund of breakfast (paid for at time of booking), which I said i would think about…. Following day i was advised a twin room could be made available and refund would still apply as a courtesy…. Happily accepted room swap and difference was significant, cooler room and working air-con 👍 However, when tried to process refund, was told it could not be done as booked with Hotels.com and not with a card via Hotel!! Also paid for 5 days breakfast but checked out on final morning before breakfast opened… Good hotel, great staff, few niggles
