SUNDAY OVERNIGHT STAY

It was our third stay at this hotel and once again we were not disappointed. The hotel is in a quiet area with free parking and there is a riverside walk nearby. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good. However, being on a Sunday there were no restaurants in the immediate area that were open. We would stay there again in the future.

Bon hôtel, bon accueil, au calme, environnement charmant, bonne literie, propre. Un rafraîchissement des chambres serait nécessaire (moquette et fourniture vieillissantes). Le petit déjeuner est très bien (chaud et froid) en revanche le service est un peu lent (approvisionnement) donc il manque régulièrement des choses. Il n'y a pas de climatisation, à savoir en cas de canicule. Le parking sécurisé est plein rapidement mais il y a de la place en extérieur (non sécurisé). Si vous dormez fenêtre ouverte, pensez à prendre un produit anti moustique pour la nuit car l'hôtel est proche de la rivière.

Tutto abbastanza positivo tranne al check out dove mi sono ritrovato a pagare 2 colazioni mai effettuate x la cifra di 38 euro. Una e' stata addebitata al check in ,avvenuto nel tardo pomeriggio di venerdi 4 ottobre,il sabato 5 non ho usufruito della colazione ma mi e' stata addebitata,mentre il giorno 6 correttamente effettuata ed addebitata. Al momento del check out incapacita' di risolvere il problema e poca conoscenza della lingua inglese pur lavorando in un hotel dove la lingua inglese dovrebbe essere eccellente e ,dopo aver fatto notare la cosa ,mi veniva risposto che io non parlavo Francese. Scegliendo un certo tipo di hotel lo si fa per avere un certo tipo di servizio ed il personale non si deve permettere di rispondere in modo ineducato al cliente ,soprattutto non essendo neanche la persona piu' qualificata nel ruolo. Ho ricevuto una mail di scuse con il rimborso di una sola colazione al posto delle 2 spettanti dimostrando, ancora una volta, la scarsa attenzione alla gestione. Che dire, pazienza la colpa e' mia che,come al solito,pago senza guardare prima la ricevuta cosa che ,in Francia,imparero' a fare.

L’hôtel est très bien situé et facile d’accès. Bien intégré dans les environs, sa décoration est moderne et chic. Notre séjour s’est très bien déroulé et nous avons pu profiter de deux belles chambres calmes et contiguës. Les lits sont confortables et spacieux, les salles de bains bien équipées. Nous avons également pu profiter d’un petit déjeuner sain et équilibré grâce au large choix offert. Enfin, le personnel est disponible et souriant, facilitant ainsi la réussite de notre séjour.

The hotel is located in an ideal location for great walks in the forest and lakeside. It’s clean and well appointed. Would stay there again but would not fall for the front desk trick! Upon checking in, I asked the reception desk woman if the breakfast was included; she checked our reservation and confirmed breakfast was indeed included. Dropped off the bags and came later in the evening to check in. Again; we asked the night manager if the breakfast was included? The gentleman checked the reservation and confirmed it was… after a 2 night stay checkout; we were charged €76.00 for breakfast. Upon questioning… they refused! This was clearly fraud by the front desk… I’m ok with paying for breakfast… but don’t lie and confirm upon checking in breakfast was included. It’s deceptive and bad business by BEST WESTERN! I have stayed in many of them throughout Europe and particularly enjoyed the one in Avila, Spain. This one in Nantes is a good facility; but the staff is dishonest!

Altho advertised with air conditioning, the rooms lack any. There is a control for air condition, set to 22 Celsius, but it's a fake. They are kind enough to supply fans

We stayed 7 days here with my family. Pros: 1) location near the Erdre river and the Chantrerie Park and far from the city. 2) the hotel is well kept and clean. 3) most of the staff members are welcoming and helpful. Cons: 1) no AC despite the knob on the wall. Some nights were very hot even with the fan provided on. 2) The smell of bacon from the 1 Michelin star restaurant next door in the morning and evening which prevents you from opening the bedroom window. 3) breakfast is good but expensive ($20/pers) for what it is. The main issue is that we found out the price only when we checked out. I didn’t see any sign stating that it was not free and how much it costs. 4) one young female staff member was rude and intentionally unhelpful. 5) far away from the city. You’ll need a car.

Our short stay was generally good but a couple of points. The carpet in the reception area and bedroom was filthy and needs a proper clean. We had a toddler who was walking in bare feet and his feet were literally black after a couple of minutes. Rooms could do with air conditioning and the bath towels were too small.
