The staff was friendly and it was clean. The locals told us they would have steered us elsewhere if we had asked. It's old with no "front desk" as such. Staff disappear in the middle of the day and you have to ring a phone number, which we did, as you are issued 2 keys. One for your room and one for the front door - which didn't work for about 10 frustrating minutes. A broken elevator and 30 odd stairs up an unusual 3 flights. We asked for a quiet room and got it. Couldn't open the window but an AC unit. Only place without anywhere to hang anything. Clothes, towels, nothing. No plugs for any bath or basin. Iron with no board. No place can deal with the constant freight trains but being by a crossing - they sound their horns a lot each time through the night. There is only the one key lock. The safety chains were all removed, so you better be decent when the room service unlock your door! Noticed a staff refilling water bottles from a jug so they were suspect. As a last resort ok, but definitely not my choice ever again.
