Superb Retro Motel - 5 Stars

This is a great place to stay. It's a Retro Motel with rooms that appear to be newly decorated. Great bed and a great shower with plenty of hot water. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. I will stay here anytime I am in Missoula.

The Bel Aire - A Boutique, Vintage-Feeling Gem!

This vintage, boutique motel was wonderful! The Bel Aire is tastefully updated with modern, vintage feeling touches. This is a simple, clean motel with a convenient location to all things downtown Missoula and University of Montana campus related.

We arrived at 5:00 PM to check in and nobody was in the office. There was a phone number to call that was sent to the Motel 6 down the road. The lady there said that she would send someone over but nobody came. We finally drove over to the Motel 6 where we found someone to come and let us in. The girl got us checked in and gave us keys that didnā€™t work. Luckily, we stopped her before she left and we finally got into our room at 6:30 PM. The room looked unfinished and dirty. They also had LED lighting outside our window with bad blinds that made it too bright to sleep well.

Affordable, convenient, and charming

I havenā€™t stayed here for years. It used to be the go-to place my family and I stayed when I was a kid. I loved it then for sure. I was looking for a place to stay that was close to UM and affordable. I saw the great reviews for the Bel-Aire and figured why not? It was affordable and close to UM campus. The guy at the front desk was very welcoming and friendly to everyone he served and even though there was a line, he got us checked in as quick as possible. The rooms were decorated so cute and the beds were comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms are for the price. Will recommend to everyone I know and will stay here in the future.
