Friendly and helpful staff, got an upgrade. Lovely room but many stairs, if that is a problem book a room at a lower floor. Especially if you have much luggage. Parking is about 15 min away, EUR15/day. Right by the Promenade, beautiful view. Close to everything, great place to stay!

This hotel is right in the center of the promenade, by the castle. However don’t bring lots of luggage as cars can’t get up to the steps - it is in a pedestrian area. It is tucked away , difficult to find first time so talk to hotel for directions beforehand. Staff are very friendly, and it’s good with breakfast included if you are ok with a simple breakfast.

We loved our stay at Kastel 1700! Nothing like being inside a 1700 year old palace! Great location, close to all the shops, outdoor patios and the Riva promenade. The staff were so friendly and efficient! And the breakfast was great! Highly recommend Kastel 1700!

Amazing location, lovely staff 100% recommended

This small hotel is in the perfect location right in the heart of the old town but overlooking the main seafront with restuarants, bars and views right outside the door. The rooms are not huge, but very comfy beds and pillows and the views are amazing. All the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, loaned me €20 when I didn’t have my bank card. Also arranged a taxi and walked us 500m to the meeting point as it was tricky to find, would definitely recommend.

We hired the shuttle for an airport pickup, we would highly recommend this as he dropped us off quite a distance from the hotel as it is walk in only. The hotel staff met us at the car and walked us back to the hotel. We arrived at midnight and I know there is no way we would have found the hotel otherwise. It feels quite sketchy in the dark but we had a different feel in the morning. Nice breakfast and the staff are lovely. we were wondering how we were going to get picked up in the morning for our cruise but the cruise staff walked to our hotel as you can not drive to it.

Hotel was in a different location than expected. We had thought we would have a sea view but ended up walking back into the town to a separate building which is where our room was located. We had to walk up 4 flights to our room which was nice, roomy, comfortable. Thankfully the person who checked us in carried our suitcase up the stairs and was very very nice. All in all a nice spot but clarity on actual location would have been helpful.

The hotel location is GREAT! Right at the edge of the palace, and close to bus station, many dining options. The room I stayed had great sea views. What I got impressed most was the professionalism displayed by staff members! I travelled in their low season, and I was the only guest at multiple hotels in Crotia, and the staff at this one stood out! They were kind and accomodating. Anna prepared breakfast with a good variety of options for food and drink, even though I was the only guest that morning. I am so touched. Thank you Anna!
