Wow, this hotel is wonderful! The views from the large shared balcony is absolutely incredible. Exploring the town was fun, especially at night and early morning when it was not crowded. Highly recommend!

Right on the piazza and a room with valley view and room was sound proof and quiet. Updated room looks new. Breakfast available for fee. Hotel staff are nice. Parking wasn’t too far. Parked in P2. The trick is get in a line at the entry gates and wait for an opening , green light, then press button to get ticket. You pay on way out next day at the machine which takes tap before you get into your car, then you insert the ticket at the gate when you leave.

The balcony was lovely and the view was spectacular. It was enjoyed by myself and two other members of my travelling party in the evening. Many people only visit San Gimignano for an afternoon, but it is worth staying there for a few days to really explore. La Cisterna is right in the middle of everything - the perfect location. Get a valley view room and wake up feeling like you are in a dream! The bed is comfortable and the toiletries smell amazing. The front desk staff is very helpful and can answer any question you have. I had a wonderful time there and can’t wait to return.

I can’t recommend this hotel enough. I will definitely come back again in future. The location, views, well fitted-out bedrooms and bathrooms and powerful air conditioning units meant a comfortable and pleasant experience. I lay in bed just looking at the hand painted ceiling in the morning. It was a great experience and I had to have one of those moments where you say goodbye to the room before checking out.

The hotel was comfortable and clean. There were instructions given for driving up to the hotel for luggage drop off but, that is an impossible task and very dangerous. There should be a warning about that.

Wonderful location of the property. The room was clean and well cared for with daily cleaning and towels provided. The rooms weren’t the most quiet perhaps because we were on the bottom floor. We would often hear the rooms beside us. The rooms are a little out dated as well. Apart from that beautiful property and location. Would have been nice to have access to an outdoor garden. Great staff very helpful. Would definitely recommend!
