Disappointing Stay Despite a Few Positives
The hotel is in a decent location—if you're able to walk up a steep hill. However, it was quite difficult to find, even with Google Maps, as there was no clear signage outside, and contacting reception was a challenge.
The room itself was clean, and the bed was comfortable, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, there were several issues that detracted from the stay. The walls were heavily marked and in need of painting, the shower floor was peeling, and the water temperature fluctuated between hot and cold unexpectedly. The room had only one small bin located in the bathroom, which was not sufficient. An iron was provided on request, but there was no ironing board.
The front door was difficult to open, and under the bed was very dirty, with old tissues and makeup left behind. The balcony was cluttered, with a rusty washing line, one peg, a ladder, and other miscellaneous items. Despite booking a “garden view” room, there was no garden view at all.
We had booked breakfast, but weren’t informed that it was off-site, requiring a 6-minute walk to a nearby café. The café itself was decent, but on our first visit, we were not given any options—food was simply placed in front of us, including French fries for breakfast which we didnt want and we had to pay extra for another orange juice.
