Nuremberg Christmas Market Visit

The Hotel is really close to the metro station and close old town. The rooms were pretty large for a European standard and really comfortable. The breakfast was quite nice with a lot of options. The Staff were great during the check in/out process and provided suggestions of activities in town (other than the Christmas Markets). The have a laundry facility in the basement with irons and ironing boards, which was nice when you want to freshen up your clothes after a couple of days traveling.

The hotel lies in a quiet street just off a busy road, and less than a block away from the Nuremberg Metro (U-Bahn). It has parking on site, but you must get in early because on two out of three nights, I cam too late and had to park on the street in a time-restricted zone. The check-in on a Sunday afternoon, when there was just one attendant at the reception, took an exceptionally long time to complete.

Licht und Schatten

Wir kommen seit etwa 15 Jahren regelmĂ€ĂŸig. Diesmal waren wir ein wenig enttĂ€uscht. ZunĂ€chst waren aufgrund von Straßenbauarbeiten die gewohnten kostenfreien öffentlichen ParkplĂ€tze in unmittelbarer NĂ€he nicht zugĂ€nglich. Okay, dafĂŒr kann das Hotel nichts. Das Zimmer war auch wie gewohnt in Ordnung, vernĂŒnftiger Best Western Standard, kein Luxus aber alles vorhanden, auch ein recht großer KĂŒhlschrank und ein Wasserkocher, was beides inzwischen anderswo lĂ€ngst nicht mehr selbstverstĂ€ndlich ist. EnttĂ€uscht waren wir diesmal vom FrĂŒhstĂŒcks-Service. Da ist uns eine der ServicekrĂ€fte gleich mehrfach durch Unfreundlichkeit und Lustlosigkeit aufgefallen, nicht nur uns gegenĂŒber sondern erkennbar aucj gegenĂŒber anderen GĂ€sten. Am zweiten Tag war zudem der halbe FrĂŒhstĂŒckraum nicht zugĂ€nglich, da anderweitig "reserviert". In der Folge mussten die GĂ€ste mit einem Tischabstand von nur 40-50cm sehr beengt frĂŒhstĂŒcken, ein erhebliches Manko. Ein entspannter Tagesauftakt sieht anders aus. Da am letzten Tag die Bedingungen wieder wie gewohnt gut waren, werden wir dennoch wiederkommen.

Nettes Hotel

Das Zimmer war sehr gerĂ€umig und mit einer Klimanlage ausgestattet. Die Betten war sehr sauber und die Matratzen nicht weich und durchgelegen. Die Lage ist in der NĂ€he des Flughafens. Gegen Aufpreis gibt es hoteleigene PArkplĂ€tze. FrĂŒhstĂŒck ist sehr reichhaltig gewesen.

Freundliche und sehr funktional gestaltete Zimmer mit Balkon und richtigem KĂŒhlschrank. Schreibtisch mit zwei StĂŒhlen - sehr praktisch. Wir sind regelmĂ€ĂŸig dort, weil wir in der NĂ€he zu tun haben und kommen immer gerne wieder. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das vergleichsweise sehr umfangreiche FrĂŒhstĂŒckbuffet. Mit der U-Bahn, deren Station in unmittelbarer NĂ€he ist, kommt man auch sehr schnell in die Innenstadt.

Staff was very friendly at all times. Getting help with anything was simple. I was very forgetful with my roomkey more times than I'd like to admit and no one was bothered. Hanna working the night shift most nights while I was there was exceptional and I appreciated her saving my hat. My experience was so good I will most likely be returning next year to this same hotel. Thank you so much again!
