Location is great but if you have a car, reaching the hotel and leaving the car to the valet (which is nearly a must) while unloading luggage is quite tricky as the road in front is narrow and you'll probably block traffic. Other than that, location is great, staff is friendly and breakfast was good

No getting around that first flight of stairs, but the hotel is worth it! Very clean & beautiful. The staff goes above & beyond! The happy hours & breakfasts are excellent & there’s a wonderful restaurant right across the street. I loved this place!

Had a wonderful two night stay in Florence 😊 Room was perfect for one person and had everything I needed. Lovely breakfast and particularly enjoyed the happy hour. This hotel was so cute and location was awesome! The street has shopping and a short walk from the train station. Leonardo at the front desk amazing and helpful! The breakfast was great and staff was friendly. Our room had an open window to the front street and it was fun to open it and people watch. I would stay here again.

Excellent stay for 3 nights in this recently renovated hotel in the heart of Florence! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful especially Leonardo at the front desk. Room was more than spacious for two of us with a very comfortable king bed and daybed and very clean. Breakfast was included with our room and was more than adequate with meats, cheeses, breads and croissants, pastries and espresso/cappuccino/coffee made to order. Davanzati also has a tea in the afternoon as well as a cocktail hour with complementary wine and beer. Was a nice start to our evening out! Location is excellent just a few blocks walk to the Duomo and all other Florence sites, museums, markets and restaurants (La Grotta Guelfa around the corner was excellent!). Note that the hotel entrance is up a flight of stairs from street level where you can then take the elevator up to the lobby. Highly recommend Hotel Davanzati!
