Told that only thing gluten free on menu was steak with no sauce. No desserts gluten free. So had a bland meal. Next day was told at breakfast that there’s an online allergen menu and that said the sauces and a few desserts were gluten free. Need to inform staff. When checked in told the time of breakfast so assumed it was part of stay. When checked out then had to pay for breakfast but even the coffee wasn’t included in the rate! Room noisy as above pub.

Room was a little dated but the staff were excellent and the food in the restaurant was delicious and had a wide selection of gluten free options.

Decor a bit tired and could have been cleaner but didn't stop us having a good nights sleep.

Nice and comfortable stay, with little touches such as hand made biscuit in bedroom, dressing gowns and warm rooms.

The photos do not do the rooms justice, i think they make the rooms look outdated but in reality they are lovely! The only thing that botheres us was that the carpet wasnt very clean and in the bathroom the bin was just left on the side and only half a roll of toilet roll. Didnt quite seem replenished.
The rooms are cosy, clean overall, nicely thought through with that layout and very comfy beds. You cant hear any noises from outside and the service was brill!

We loved the Roberts radio playing as we entered the room; the room felt more welcoming as a result.
Food was very good.
Room was clean and tidy, although sparsely furnushed. Chest of drawers/bedside drawers would have been appreciated.
Being tall, the sloping wall/ceiling in the bathroom meant I kept coming in to contact with it!
Plus side was that our room was very quiet on the top floor - thank you!
Overall an excellent stay - thank you very much!

There was no chef on in the evening so no food available on site. Couldn't turn subtitles off on tv. My shower was freezing cold in a so called Deluxe room and didn't heat up despite running for 15 minutes. Lady on check out was polite and gave me a free breakfast to compensate but I will not be staying again. Nowhere near value for money (£144 room only paid).

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful and polite. Little disappointed with Breakfast as I enjoy the choice of cereal cooked, fruit and yoghurt but mainly only cooked offered. However, it was tasty.

The room didn't match the hotels.com description. Not sure who is at fault, but after swapping rooms the issue was resolved by the hotel.

Nice place, I've stayed many times but it's definitely going downhill. It was busy on arrival (early evening) and woefully understaffed. After waiting at the bar for about 20 minutes while 1 person tried to make drinks for what seemed like the entire restaurant single handedly, I went to find someone to check me in. Not great after a long drive. Had the home made pizza for dinner which was OK but the garlic bread was so overcooked, it was black and had the consistency of a poppadom! I had both pizza and garlic bread in takeout boxes to take to my room but if I'd been in the restaurant, I'd have sent it straight back. I paid extra for breakfast, £13 ish. It was decent but a bit mean on portion size.

It was a good three days at the farmhouse.
The rooms snowball was comfortable. But can do with some care and attention. The sheer curtain would be recommended to be changed and the carpets had some stains that reduced the quality of the room.
The standing lamp and the mirror light in the bathroom did not work and needs attention
I appreciated the care and attention the staff gave us during our stay with the regular housekeeping and tidinesss
Thank you for everything and will book again

We booked the stay after checking details on the accommodation website- please be aware that the breakfast is not as advertised on the website- no continental breakfast offered with your coined breakfast
Cleanliness - attention to detail on this as not very clean & lots of bugs (dead) around the window.
The fan that was provided was completely useless

This was one my favourite place to stay but I think it has changed ownership. whatever has happened, it's not the same. Service isn't what it was, food nowhere near as good and some strange policies introduced. In my 25 years of business travel, I don't recall ever having to pay £3.50 (on top of the cost of a very average breakfast) for a cup of coffee! Very sadly, I doubt I'll stay again.
