2/10 Poor

Horrific Smell

The smell of this place was horrific but better than the cleanliness. Very disgusting

Overall it was an okay experience. The room was clean but clearly very outdated. It must have been a nice place 40 years ago. The walls needed paint and the flooring could use a refresh. There was a strong food odor in the entryway and halls but not in the room thankfully. I would not likely choose to stay again but it would do in a pinch.

No phone in the room not enough outlets. The room stunk floors felt wet.

It was an average hotel stay. They sure could use a new mattress on their beds. The hotel is older so it could understandably use some updates. The landscaping needs more attention as well.

Smelled like smoke and my husband got a moldy muffin. They sure weren't thinking when they built a hotel practically on the railroad track. Who can sleep with a train honking in their ear?? I guess the only thing they have going is the "cheap" rate. (Compared to other places. We still paid too much.)

Room was clean, friendly staff, ok location.

Let's be honest upfront- This is a blue collar, workingman's hotel. It feels like the 1970's in the rooms, the outside areas are a little ragged and need some upkeep and the breakfast is sparse. Having said that, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and the TV and air conditioning worked well. The place is mostly concrete, so it was very quiet in the room and easy to sleep well without hearing hallway noise and creaking floors above. For the price, a decent place to spend a couple of nights.

Darren, 2-night trip

I would pay an extra $20 to go somewhere else, the train horns were excruciating, the air-conditioning unit decibel level was higher than an AC/DC concert, and not to judge, but the clientele was very interesting. I would not stay there again. It really is disappointing when the ownership is not willing to upgrade and put some money into their facilities.

Kinda sketchy

The first room I was given has several problems, burned out lights, chirping smoke alarm, broken toilet, etc. that I reported to the front desk staff. They gave me a different room which was better, but not great. Cleanliness and condition was an issue in both rooms. I will note the bathroom in the second room was clean. There was a guy crashed on the lobby sofa talking on the phone about a drug deal. Kinda sketchy.

The staff was friendly. The place was ran down and old, which would be fine, but the smell and cleanliness of the room was not. The smell when we opened the door to our room was horrible. I almost gagged. Even after letting the room air out all evening and night, it was still horrible(I even sprayed air freshener)

Many of the outlets in the room didn’t work. Light switches didn’t work. It is a last-resort situation in Aberdeen.

When I was running water for the tub, there was some type of metal type dirt. That was the tub disgusting. There was tile coming from the side of the tub where I could see behind the tile or baseboards. It was not a very clean or maintained bathroom at all.
