The hotel itself is very well maintained with great staff and the corner window rooms were beautiful. The pool and gym were fantastic. The only miss for this property is the tiny beach.

We stayed at Belmont Hotel Mactan for 3 nights. The staff were really great—very friendly and accommodating. I especially appreciated that guests have access to the pool at Mactan Newtown Beachfront, which was a nice bonus. However, the drainage in both the sink and shower definitely needs attention. The shower tends to clog and overflow because of how it’s set up, and when my husband checked the sink, there was a lot of buildup inside. It’s pretty gross—they really need to start using something like Draino to clean it properly. Also, housekeeping never left extra toilet paper, so I’d recommend calling for more as soon as you check in. The food was just okay, but the bartenders, John and Bryan, were fantastic! They make amazing drinks and were the highlight of our stay. Honestly, they’re probably the main reason I’d appreciate Belmont at all.

My friend and I really enjoyed our room and the staff were very friendly. The buffet was just OK in our opinion. What we didn't like, though was how many condo vultures there are around trying to sell you condos. Even while we were at the beach, we had people coming up to us, which was so annoying because we were just trying to relax.

I enjoyed the Belmont. Stayed there 3 nights. Everyone was nice and the in-house restaurant was very good. Had breakfast there all 3 mornings & had dinner there twice. Please fix the steam as soon as possible! :) My friend recommended I stay there, especially because of the sauna and steam. Steam was under maintenance so I could not try it. Next time 🙏 Thank you.

I would like to point out the stay was not over all unpleasant .the rooms were clean ,the staff were very professional. how ever there was a few things that i believe would greatly improve. 1.point i would like to offer is the water trucks, are loud and unpleasant to look at near the main entry, a suggestion i offer is to move the trucks to side were the employees were parking and run a longer water hose and also a temporary barrier to shield view and reflect noise from the main entry. that just one of many things i seen in the short time i stayed. 2nd Visit Didn't Disappoint

The Junior Suite is the way to go at the Belmont. The views are amazing from both areas. (bedroom/living room) The dual sink vanity and large shower give the bathroom a luxury feel. There's seating for 6 people. (not counting sitting on the bed) It has two large 65 inch flat panel TVs and two air conditioning units, to keep both areas cool. There's a room safe for valuables, and a mini-fridge for beverages/snacks. My stay was on the 18th floor & very quiet. I did have an issue with a menu item while dining in the restaurant, but it was quickly removed from my bill and I was offered apologies from 3 wait staff members. The fitness center has everything you need to get a good workout in, including a sauna & steam room. There is also a private beach with a bar area that also serves food items. Access to the beach are included with your stay, but the food and drink items are billed separately. The staff members are extremely polite, helpful, and courteous. Highly recommended if you are planning a stay in Mactan Newtown.

I chose the Belmont because it's on Mactan Island as opposed to Cebu. I had been traveling for quite some time and needed a place that was safe, quiet and not in a metropolis. Think resort like setting. I hear the pool/bar and beach are nice - i didn't make lol. The neighborhood is modern, new and safe. The food at the hotel is okay. The drinks are expensive. So just walk to Robinsons a few doors down and stock up - the hotel didn't mind, I asked just to be sure, they were chill. The only caveat is there are no do not disturb signs so housekeeping will definitely knock. And they seem kinda weird if you skip 2 days in a row so maybe don't do that. But hey, i work remote eu time so didn't see a lot of sun. The sushi place a few doors down, cheap and great. Taste of Luciano, about a mile away, walkable safe is the best Italian food I've ever had in SE Asia. All of the employees and staff were very very nice. Thank you Belmont, I'll be back. Cheers!
