It was cheap as chips, which is why I booked it. But the room was dingy. Lots of areas badly in need of maintenance and the icing on the cake was a badly chipped mug provided to make coffee.

Been to this hotel before it was lovely new owners now arrived was told I needed photo ID if I didn’t have it I had to pay £100 deposit they charge you £10 for parking you can park out on the road for free plenty of space my bathroom has mould door not painted properly Toilet roll hanging off wall curtains with filthy sideboard was stained and scratched up. Need a good clean and new furniture. Must say bedding was very clean comfortable bed had a beautiful view from balcony. As long as you know, it’s a budget hotel you’ll be okay don’t expect the Ritz.

I booked a room for a one night stay on Torquay, as i was travelling from Reading to pick my partner up in Paignton. I was going to leave about 7, after work, to get there for approx 11pm. I rang and made sure i could get in. i was told that if i got there after 10pm, i would be charged an additional £15 late check in fee. I have never heard that before in my life. Suffice to say, i didn't use the room and travelled down in the morning. maybe these things exist, but i've never heard anything so stupid in all my hotel staying days.

No cold water for the whole of the 7 days had to buy bottled water to have wash lift never worked for the whole of the stay room not cleaned at all for 7days towels not changed for the whole of the stay bin not emptied for the whole of the stay tea tray not filled up just absolutely disgusting the only thing that was good was the view if I could of found some were else to stay I would have left on day 2

Awful! No running cold water in room, couldn't flush toilet, kettle was disgusting so couldn't use, no cups,no soap. Poor cleanliness. TV okay, bed comfy, clean bedding and towels. Parking advertised but be warned there is a £10 charge per night which I found out on arrival and didn't see mentioned on website.

Hotel is very old, there is renovation going inside so its mess and dirt everywhere. Think they should close it for now. Room was ok to sleep- nothing else. Kettle and 2 cups provided- no tea coffee etc. Its also not clearly stated but they charge £10 extra for parking per night which is quite expensive. We won't be back anytime soon.

Honestly the most bizarre hotel I have ever stayed in. There are no facilities. You couldn’t even boy a soft drink. There was no toilet we could use before we checked in. The huge sign outside says Diamond Hotel. It was a mixture of a ghost town with unused communal rooms and a rough hostel with a welcoming of a fight happening. There were empty cans of cider on the side downstairs. In our room we had to wedge the window open with a towel and in the bathroom we had to do the same with a toilet roll, both to provide air and to try and get rid of whatever the smell was. There was extremely loud banging of doors throughout the night. We were in a triple room and we had two cups. Honestly, I have never experienced anything like it.

The hotel is a lovely place, the staff was friendly and very helpful. On the days when we stayed the unique bad things we encountered were noise guesses in the room next door, so we couldn't really rest as we expected but apart from that attention at the hotel in great!

The property was t clean, little or no fire/safety standard. Toilet had a deposit from the previous guests which didn't flush as there's not enough water in the cistern, shower didn't work, cold tap dribbled only & hot tap got so hot it was impossible to keep your hands under it. Room was bamp, everything was old part fixed & part painted this is not worth the £63 per night rate & Expedia should refuse to sell these properties however corporate greed means they don't care. When I checked in there was a lady at reception who had been moved twice & she was having water problems again & when I asked the reception guy told me we would have no problems with the two rooms that cost me £126.00 for the two. Waste of money & I expect a full refund from EXPEDIA!! Expedia for once in your life do something about it as this hotel should be closed by the council & the fire service as it's a disaster waiting to happen!!!

Ali on reception is lovely very welcoming and friendly always happy to help with anything or anything and also the manager Shazly very friendly and welcoming and very helpful love staying at this hotel and can’t wait to come back for new year weekend see you again soon kirsty and ry

Room was what we paid for - cheap and cheerful. Nothing special. Windows were filthy but the view was great. Leaving the windows open meant it was very noisy. We were next to the stairs so also heard everyone coming and going. Mattress was old and springy.

This hotel was disgusting I wouldn’t have left a dog here let alone human however customer sevices were great when I called them and they transferred us to TorPark hotel which was spot on very clean and staff were amazing nothing was ever too much trouble! So definite no go for Richmond hotel but Tor park is recommended
