Really neat old hotel right downtown. Accommodations were simple and clean. If you don’t like old buildings with an old fashioned vibe, this might not be your favorite. But if you like quirky atmosphere and funky art deco urban spaces this is your spot. Old Windows, basic fixtures, and I loved every bit of it.

A Brattleboro Gem

It was a nice treat to find a room in a renovated Southern Vermont hotel. Brattleboro has not had an easy time, and it has a marvelous past concealed by a slightly downscale present. The hotel, the room, the management-all great!!

Clean rooms and common areas; pleasant helpful staff; comfortable accommodations; reasonably priced. Two good first-run films seen at the attached theater for the senior price of $8 each -- half the cost of most other movie houses.

Our stay at the Latchis was wonderful! Super cool to be staying in an old art deco building, and we even took advantage of the movie theater a couple of times. Extremely conveniently located in the center of downtown, just a stone’s throw away from the Amtrak station.

This is a dated property, but clean

The hotel is old. It is clean, but very dated and worn. I like what they are trying to do, but the probably don’t have the money to really spruce it up. The bathroom was spotless and has new tub tile work. I liked the antique light and medicine cabinet. There are no outlets in the bathroom and only a few in the room. The record player and albums are a cute idea. The th is small with all basic channels, no streaming here. The staff was very nice. Overall a fine stay for one night.

Comfortable and central Location

The room was ok. The a/c was too cold and was unable to control because the vent was too high up on the wall to reach. Cleaning the room had to be arranged at a certain period of time. Its location was central to Brattleboro right near the Brattleboro art museum and some restaurants. However a lot of the business center moved north because a lot of the businesses closed down.
