This was my first hotel stay after being in hostels for most of the trip and for such a cheap price it was one of the best stays I've had. The property was so modern and clean and the staff were incredibly kind. The breakfast was delicious as well! If was very close to a lot of transportation but wasn't too crazy busy despite being near a major tourist attraction! Loved my stay here overall!

Typical Japanese hotel where the focus is always on the customer. Never found a complaint with any service in Japan. It is shame the rest of the world did not follow the Japanese way of service.

Great location, clean and functionable. The street cars run in front of the hotel, which is convenient but very noisy. They do stop at some point in the late evening. The city has more police, ambulance, and fire sirens than any other city we have been to.

Overall we chose this hotel for the decent reviews being that it is a budget friendly option. Our stay was good. Family of 4. No issues. Staff were friendly. I do recommend they WIPE THE WALLS near the bed and maybe the area where the trash can is. I think if the walls were given some attention to enhance cleanliness that would lead to more positive guest reviews.

The best budget hotel that comes with free breakfast. Walkable to everything, the Dome, museum, shopping and dining. The room is very tight but clean and it’s non-smoking hotel. Theres a coffee station available all day by the reception, amenities you can pick them up by the lobby. There’s a coin laundry. There’s a seating area with books and ipad that you can use. There’s a smoking room. You only need to take the streetcar from the train station to the hotel. Very convenient.

The Not Comfort Inn

To start with the positives: they held our bags for us to travel around during the day and also had a lovely complimentary breakfast. The staff were also nice. Cons: the rooms were not comfy by any means. Beds were the worst we had our whole trip and pillows were also terrible. Bathrooms were exceptionally tiny. Had to be careful to notice the step down into the bathroom as well. Almost fell in initially and kept bumping around the shower. Hoped to have better from the Comfort Inn name seeing as I’ve used it in other places before.

Good for couple days, very small rooms

We stayed couple nights so it was good, it is in a great lication, steps away from the streetcar stop, and walking distance from the Peace monument and museum. Excellent restaurants nearby, excellent customer service, good breakfast. The rooms are really cramped, there is no space for big luggages, even a medium one was challenging to open the suitcase. Cleani g was good but i wonder how throughly could be in a such small space. Bathroom was smaller than a bathroom in a ferry cabin! You have to be slender to fit well there, in addition the bathtub is very high, not recommended if you have mobility issues.

The room we selected was the Queen compact. In retrospect, I missed the compact part when booking because the space was very tight for two adults, especially for my 6ft 2in husband. We managed okay because we packed carry on suitcases and backpacks. If you have full size luggage, it's a no go. The breakfast buffet was delicious and generous. Despite large crowds on one of the busy mornings, the staff managed it well and there was no lack. They accommodated storing my temperature sensitive medication and travel cooler in the hotel's refrigerator and freezer since the room's mini fridge was not cooling enough. My only complaint would be the bed. It was rather stiff, including the pillows, the blanket felt small for the two of us, and unfortunately, we didn't find a spare. Every time we shifted in bed, we felt the movement, which meant light sleep. Overall, the accommodation served its purpose for three nights and the staff was great.
