They took such good care of us great beds and pool. I slept so well. Spa is wonderful and well priced. Gift shop is great walking distance to a few malls and such. Carriage ride close by. We definitely felt safe and cared for.

6/10 Good

I recently stayed at the Sofitel and was impressed by the beautiful surroundings — the hotel is clean, stylish, and well-maintained, with lovely interiors that create a luxurious atmosphere. However, the service didn’t match the setting. While there were plenty of staff around, there seemed to be a lack of communication between them. Requests were often delayed or forgotten, and it felt like no one really knew what was going on. The service was noticeably slow throughout the stay, which took away from the overall experience. A stunning hotel with great potential, but the management and coordination behind the scenes need serious improvement.
Sophie, 4-night trip

8/10 Very good

The Hotel facilities are excellent. However, staff and service are just about average. Service is slow. Finding table at breakfast or a seat by the pool was very difficult. Staff were less than helpful in this respect. We stayed in a suite. Cost high but service did not match this

Mostly perfect stay

Everything was lovely....except....both mornings that I was there, there was a knocking sound at 6:30 am which woke me, which sounded like someone was already doing works in the rooms above me. I complained the second morning. The location is very convenient, everyone was very friendly, and the service was excellent.
m, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Hotel was very nice. Adil greated us at the front desk and was very welcoming, went over the top to make us feel welcome. Only down side was the strange rule of no outside food or drinks - including milk for our 1 year old.
Hasif, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Outstanding! Although the property is impeccable, the staff of the Sofitel is what makes this hotel a wonderful and memorable stay. Hachim at the concierge desk took care to answer all of our queries in detail (and we had many!); Nouredine at the main restaurant remembered our orders and provided top notch service. We will definitely return in the near future.
Betsy, 4-night trip

6/10 Good

Poor check-in experience and I was actually asked to exit the pool aggressively because I was wearing a shirt. The individual I was dealing with just kept saying it was forbidden and when I asked why, he simply said it’s forbidden that’s all you need to know. Once I talked to our actual server (who was apologizing profusely on behalf of the other gentleman), and I explained to him that it was to keep the sun off of me and was a quick-dry water shirt, he went “oh” and talked to his manager who then agreed to let me in the pool with my shirt on. English is definitely a barrier and the whole experience was certainly off-putting and slightly embarrassing with everyone around and witnessing the entire ordeal, especially for this caliber of hotel. They also went after a couple of other individuals for various issues while I was there as well. Rooms were great but I might choose another hotel next time I’m looking for a place to stay nearby.
Zachary, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The pool and breakfast are excellent. The staff are all very welcoming but the service can be a little poor on occasions. I felt disappointed to have to pay for all still water provided and would expect a five star to include at least one or two bottles around the pool. Location is great and it’s easy for taxis or to walk. If you are in one side of the hotel as we were the noise from a couple of nearby bars continues into the early hours and you can hear it (thank goodness for earplugs). All that said I would recommend and stay here again but a few items that a five star should address.
Emma, 7-night trip

2/10 Poor

Horrible experience. Staff stole money at the spa out of my bath robe. The reception and the manager on duty were extremely rude and disrespectful
Farhan, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Was great all around. There was a mix-up with one item on our final bill. It was sorted within moments after i flagged it. Always check your final bill.
Benedict, 5-night trip

6/10 Good

The property is expensive. The room is dull and dark. There isn’t much sunshine entering the room from the windows. Surprised to know that there was no bidet in the suite. There is a lot of not utilized space allocation in the lobby and corridors. Not the best of experience.
Mousa, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

The dining experience was poor. We waited over an hour for low-quality meals, with a bottle of water costing 100 MAD instead of 7 MAD outside, feeling exploitative. The airport transfer was quoted at 500 MAD for a short ride, while a third-party service charged only 100 MAD. At checkout, I was wrongly billed 172 MAD for minibar items, leading to an awkward confrontation. Staff behavior was also problematic. Soukaina, the reception manager, was rude and dismissive, even laughing at me publicly. Additionally, my outside water was confiscated, which felt exploitative, especially in 90-degree heat. The hotel itself was not up to five-star standards, appearing worn and poorly maintained. Overall, my stay was marred by rude service, exploitative pricing, and a lack of care. I cannot recommend Sofitel Marrakech and urge potential guests to consider other options.

6/10 Good

Nice estate & bad service

Nice grounds, little dated but nicely kept up hotel. Really nice pool area and grounds, well located within Marrakesh. What's truly lacking is the service. 1. The driver to the airport didn't turn up for 20 minutes and the hotel didn't pick up the phone. Not a nice welcome. 2. Random man walk into your room without knocking at 22:30 in the evening with 'waters'. Strange timing & knocking definitely needed. 3. Do not disturb sign totally disregarded. Again, without knocking a woman barges into the room in the morning, searching for another guest. When sent out, reception calls calling that other guest's name (totally different from mine). They could have easily check who is staying in the room, should not have disregarded the do not disturb sign etc. Somehow staff also make a point of not greeting anyone, just looking the other way when one says hello.
