I can’t recommend this place enough. We made a quick break from Halstatt to Vienna in Grundlsee and our eyes couldn’t get tired of the wonderful views of MONDI location. Staff is so welcoming, the bedroom clean and well prepared to accommodate you and really amazing food. Its very close to HOFER and other grocery shops, and you can also take quick hikes close to hotel. LOVED IT and plan to come back!

The reception was fantastic, very informative and helped make us reservations in their restaurant which was excellent. The 2 issues was it took over 5 minutes to get hot water and did not last. The guest room beds had some some dirt on the sheets that we were able to get off but was not as expected.

We loved MONDI. Our room was first floor, lake side. We never tired of how beautiful the view was. The room was very clean. Had coffee maker, tea maker, dishes, pots and pans, a refrigerator but no microwave. Service was wonderful. Walking to the bus wasn’t a problem. However, keep in mind that you can not get a bus or taxi before 7AM. No Uber service. Train station is in Bad Aussee which is a beautiful town near by. (Bus to MONDI is only a 10 minute ride)

The rooms are cleaned once every three days and for our entire stay, which was three nights, this did not happen. Towels in the bathroom were also not changed once. On the door to the balcony and on the balcony itself there were large cobwebs. The food in the restaurant is nice. The view of the lake is wonderful. The spa area offers single water.

Location is beautiful. Property needs to be updated. The lodges and rooms inside are clean, but the floors, furniture, kitchen and bathrooms have to be at least 20 years old. We stayed in lodge 5 at the floor level and we should have had a great view of the lake, but we only had a partial view of the lake due to some overgrown trees that blocked the view. I love trees, but the placement of the large tree smack in the middle of the view is absurd. The description of each apartment should clearly state if it has a lake view or not. The room we were assigned had no lake view. Fortunately, we were changed to a lake view room (at an additional charge) but the view was blocked by the poorly placed tree (trees).
