The hotel was situated right at the beach and our room was on the ground floor with direct pool/ beach access. Room service was amazing , the breakfast buffet was great, the amenities like pool, spa, jacuzzi and gym were all great, very clean and staff friendly. I will come back again.

Property in perfect conditions, excellent facilities and super friendly and efficient staff. I was there during a typhoon level 3 alert. The airport was closed and a lot of clients got struck. The front desk, concierge and guest relations were simply amazing! The management did huge efforts to minimize clients’ discomfort. Amazing!

From being welcomed at the hotel to the final check out the staff were so friendly and went that little bit extra to make sure our stay was an amazing one. The choice of food and drinks were great and we were able to book the speciality restaurants with ease. Pools were great along with the choice of water sports that were included. We would like to say a big thank you to Angele who did a great job in looking after us in the Nirvana part of the hotel and Sheila who kept our room spotlessly clean. Also Klea who made sure we always had a drink in Latitude and Owen who worked at the bar there and also in Jade with his drink recommendations. Bayo also made sure we had food and drinks around the main pool. So a big thank you to these and all others that made our stay as special as it was. Hoping to return in the future.

We were disappointed because at the arrival they give us orientation and tell us the butler will be looking after us for everything we need and never come until the day before the last day I found him. The shuttle that they offer to take us to the restaurant and around the property always takes too much time to come and pick up us. At this waves restaurant few dogs were close to the restaurant area at dinner time. For the money that we paid we expected better service overall.

The team can't do enough for you and really looked after us. Make sure you pay for the All Inclusive package as it's well worth it - aside from the buffet, all restaurants are Ala Carte and although not everything is included without a supplement, we found there was enough to choose from. We particularly enjoyed Kumin which is an Indian restaurant (where they prepared the most amazing tandoori dishes, curries & nan bread) and watching the sunset at Waves, listening to some gorgeous voices & acoustic vibes - the entertainment was generally very good. We also took advantage of the water sports which are all included. Just make sure you grab some sea shoes when you collect your towel as the coral / stones make getting into the sea painful unless you are prepared! A special call-out to Artee in customer services who was lovely & very helpful, Owen in the bar and Juliano who provided a lot of entertainment. We'll be back :)

Newly renovated so nice rooms. Unfortunately the service was very bad and weird setup. Was not allowed to put drinks on my room and asked to go to reception to pay for my drinks. The bar staff were embarrassed about the whole situation and apologized (they were good). To top the bad experience i started getting calls to my room i had to settle my bill from earlier at lunch. I had not even checked in by then since i arrived by 5pm. This did not occur to them at first and it took some time and explanations. This was my second time visit this year and i must say i will not be heading back. The service is simply awful and among the worst i have encountered in Mauritius which i visit many times a year. Will choose another hotel next time.

When you go to the Meridien Mauritius you know that they will will do their utmost to satisfy you. The quality of the F&B and the kindness of the staff make you forget the rocky beaches (water shoes) but also offers the most beautiful sunsets of the Island. Well done for the entertainment (program, kids club, nautic sports...) and musical evening that also permits much more than a 5* hotel.

April 2025 Der Himmel auf Erden! Von der Anreise mit Früh-checkin über der perfekten Service und die Freudlichkeit von allen Mitarbeitern des Hotels, die hohe Qualität des Essens in den Spezialitätenrestaurants, die sportlichen Angebote bis zum kostenfreien Late-checkout war einfach alles perfekt. Einer der schönsten Urlaube, die wir je hatten. Unser persönlicher Butler Keseven tat sein Bestes, um unsere Wünsche bestmöglich zu erfüllen. Unsere Zimmerdame Sheila war so voller Herzlichkeit und im Säubern und Gestalten des Zimmers mit kleinen Überraschungen nicht zu überbieten.Nivis und das gesamte Team des WAVES waren einfach nur Super!
