A return to MJ’s after 5 years, and the large, comfortable room, excellent breakfast, friendly staff and quirky decor were all as we remembered them from previously.. Great place to stay!

I had an extremely discouraging experience on what was otherwise a delightful time at MJ's. On May 24th, an unwell man approached me in a secluded wing of the hotel at the elevator, spat at me and said other awful remarks. I RAN to the lobby for fear of safety concerns and general security onsite. This man was NOT a guest of the property and the managing staff seemed relatively unbothered by my encounter and offered no reassurances for this type of dangerous person to not enter the building again. As a solo female traveler this type of encounter is nerve-racking. The rest of the trip I felt unnerved and sadly diminished what was otherwise a beautiful stay in a wonderful hotel space. The key card access to lodging needs to be reevaluated as a baseline safety concern.

Despite all the good reviews, sadly, our stay didn’t meet expectations. Compared to the price your pay per night, i didn’t find it satisfactory. We booked a basic double room. The springs in one side of the bed were broken, so it wasn’t comfortable to lay in that side. The mini fridge was broken, and despite saying this to the staff it wasn’t fixed during our stay. The staff were really friendly and pleasant though. Not the best experience sadly, however the hotel itself was really cosy, charming and had a special vibe to it, which is why we chose it. I’m sure many of the other rooms are fine(considering all the good reviews) and we were just unlucky, unfortunately. Probably won’t be back for another stay, we will most likely try another place next time.

Tyvärr en besvikelse. MJ’s marknadsföring vill gärna porträttera sig som exklusiva. Tyvärr är det för mycket som talar emot. Man har renoverat smart, men för någon som förväntar sig lite mer ”lyx” så faller det platt… Bar och restaurang är trevligt, men servicen är enbart ok.

Oplevelsen var fantastisk, men det undrer, at når man booker et dobbeltværelse til to, at der så kun er et sæt håndklæder og en dyne? Vi manglede også glas/krus på badeværelset. Receptionisten var ekstremt sød og rar og restauranten utrolig hyggelig.
