Adequate accommodation

Basic hotel that needs a bit of a refresh. Adequate accommodation though as you only need the facilities to sleep in as you spend most of the time in the Parks. No tea or coffee facilities in your room and the vending machine that you can use once a day, is often out of order.

Worst hotel I’ve ever experienced

Do yourself a favor and book into Hotel New York the Art of Mavel to start your Disney experience the right way. The entry experience to Sante Fe was less than magical and more like entering a desert hell. When we got to the room with no air conditioning, dirty sheets and fire alarm testing that went on for half an hour we complained and luckily got the privilege of paying double just to get out! This entire hotel complex needs to be leveled.

This property is very dated. Broken tiles in bathroom. Roaches crawling on the wall. Maid carts left in the halls. Paid four night stayed 2. Not refunded any money and I also didn’t ask. Was told I probably would not have been refunded anyways. So not worth the price paid.

horrible cleaning and horrible breakfast. There is no fridge in the room. We can't change or ask anything other than telephone.This is the most inconvenient hotel for booking.

Very convenient as in walking distance to Disney, however beds were too hard and uncomfortable, carpet was dirty, we had dirty towels, there was chipped paint, the curtain was not fully attached to the rail, some of the light bulbs weren’t working and the walls are very thin so you can hear other families.

We loved the Cars theme. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The ceiling fan in our room was broken but we just cracked a window instead. Overall, good experience.

Very friendly sland helpful staff and great location only 15 mins walk from the park. The bedroom had everything you needed. Decoration was a little tired but perfectly comfortable. I had a corner room on the ground floor. The curtain didn't quite meet in the corner which meant for bright morning starts and little uncomfortable in the evenings with a gap looking out to the car park. Nothing a clip couldn't fix. We had a lovely stay.

Really pleasantly surprised! I'm a bit of a hotel snob and often insist on a minimum of 4 stars but I was so impressed with Santa Fe! Room clean and well maintained. Bathroom fresh and newly decorated. I have stayed a few times in the cheaper 4 stars options near Disneyland such as Grand Magic and Dream Castle and I would say Santa Fe is absolutely better for rooms, location and most importantly the transportation!! Bus to and from parks was much less busy than the alternative hotels mentioned above and security swept the bus after every service as well as keeping a close eye on the crowds getting too pushy after the fireworks in the evening. Would saty here again simply to avoid the trauma that came with taking the bus for the cheaper non Disney alternatives. Highly recommend. Great value. Check in a little slow but that's my only slightly negative feedback

Showing it’s age

Room was clean but was old and falling apart. There was a hole in the wall that wasn’t patched. Broken tiles in the bathroom and the plumbing would constantly switch from ice cold to scalding anytime to turned it on. Staff was friendly and professional. All in all it is a hotel in desperate need of a renovation

The stairs to the first floor in block 51/52 were unsafe. The treads on a number of steps were either missing or hanging down and forming a trip hazard. the whole building is very tired. There was no ordinary tea available from the vending machines , only peppermint.

Santa Fe hotel stay

Clean, comfortable rooms, just a bit warm. Ceiling fan helps a bit, but a stronger desk mounted fan would've helped. Block 15, while quite far from the reception, restaurant, etc is ideally placed for access to the river path to the village. So unless you plan to use the main facilities and bus shuttle, better off in blocks further away, ours was Luigi. If you are fairly mobile, i personally think you can walk to the parks quicker than waiting for a bus. Service was extremely quick with a couple of requests, such as a kettle. One criticism would be that none of the cold drinks dispensers which took cards seemed to be working, plus very few of the ice machines on our second night. But overall, happy to stay there again- I'll just make sure ive a lot of change for the machines!

Unfortunately we had a bad stay at Santa Fe We complained multiple times during our two night stay as our overhead didn’t work and it was extremely hot in the room. They did not offer to love our room instead just brought us two portable fans which did not do much to help the heat in the room, therefore we slept poorly as we were so hot. The bathroom also needed a complete overhaul. The bath didn’t drain and also the shower flooded so the carpet outside the bathroom was saturated and made things that were on the floor there soaking wet, We complained to customer services x2 The room was in block 12 room 116. We would like someone to contact us about this and we would like some form or compensation for the lack of sleep we had and even though we complained nothing was done.

Bare bones basic, and I mean BASIC. If you are familiar with Disney facilities in the U.S., lower your expectations for Sante Fe. Needs refurbishment. Staff NEEDS training on Disney signature customer service. Seemed as if most employees were in a bad mood. Its rumored the French are rude but i was trying to be neutral. None of the usual happy Disney smiles and greeting we are accustomed to in Orlando, Fl. I noticed in different buildings some old dilapidated ice machines, none of which were working. Asked front desk for ice. They sent us to the bar area of the restaurant La Cantina. We greeted the man at the bar and asked for ice. Again, seemed as if we were bothering them. He reluctantly threw a few pieces of ice in a cup and handed it to us. The Disney bus transportation is a free for all. No semblance of order or structure. Everyone rushes the doors. Stroller or wheel chair?? Good luck! Same customer service at the parks. Just unpleasant. For the tv, on the main screen that greets each family, go to settings and choose English. That will give you English for the Disney channels only. Otherwise you only get BBC News and Europe News channel. There are some Spanish, German, Mandarin and French channels. No fridge, no coffee in rooms (which we knew). If you use washcloths, bring your own. No wash cloths provided. Towels are paper thin and rough. Towels a Dollar Store would sell.
