Property was as described online. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The resort is small and quiet which suited us as we hire a car and venture out if we want to see more of the island. We did receive a room upgrade as suggested on the booking which was excellent. Views from most rooms are stunning, and our room was well appointed and comfortable. Will definitely return in the future.

Fabulous location within 10 min walk of restaurants and bars at the harbour. Has its own tennis and padel courts. Good evening entertainment and fabulous breakfast buffet. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

A little beach time before Madrid!

Beautiful hotel, comfortable and clean rooms. Breakfast was delicious and drinks were fantastic. We are fans of the Mango Mojotos! We stayed at the Preferred section (which for those who can should stay at)-we literally checked in and unplugged. No thought about what was covered and what wasn’t. There are parts that are starting to show some wear but the staff was accommodating and gracious about everything. We walked to the marina area nearby and down the trail along the coast and it was beautiful. Highly recommend for a quick gaunt from Europe.

Amazing care of the staff. Hotel is great for a relaxed atmosphere. Room service really not on the level of food quality of the other food options in the island. Didn’t try the restaurants.

This was our third stay at this property. First time since it became Secrets Lanzarote. Some changes meant we couldn’t use all the pools however the three we could use were ideal. Staff were just delightful. Food was varied and always delicious. An absolute joy of a stay. Would highly recommend!

Service was excellent. Staff were attentive and friendly. Atmosphere was peaceful and beautiful. However, the food and cleanliness was not the standard of what I expect for a 5* hotel. Also minor hiccups and oversights like balcony door always jammed, internet not working properly for tv connection and wood varnish crumbling were just small things that made me question if it was worth what I paid for a 5* hotel. Overall the food was the biggest letdown for me but the atmosphere was lovely.

Beautiful hotel. Lovely room. Had a bit of a problem with the food quality and made a complaint. To be fair to the hotel they did all they could to accommodate us and gave us a complimentary meal and a gift. They appreciated the feedback and if they get the food right this hotel could be outstanding. Staff a very friendly and would stay here again.

Lovely hotel. Ten mins walk along a path to Puerto Calero harbour which has lots of lovely restaurants and bars. Hotel has a Preferred Club (I didn’t know this before I booked) so certain restaurants and facilities were not available to “plebs” which I wasn’t impressed with.

I surprised my girlfriend for her 21st birthday here and the hotel staff were a great help providing a great experience for us and the hotel itself had everything to offer and the food was great too. No complains and all questions we had were answered with no misunderstandings. Will be back again

The hotel although out of the main areas is nice, peaceful and well equipped. The staff are excellent and could not do enough for you. A couple of areas of maintenance (very minor) required within the room itself. Otherwise a perfect relaxing stay.

I’ve been here before a couple years ago and loved it. So decided to go again to celebrate our mini moon and we had the worst experience ever. Some of the staff need re-training on customer service as this is the biggest factor for our holiday being ruined!

Pool facilities and the prefered lounge great...though tables for food in need of proper repair or replacement...unstable and loose screws seen. Loose tiling around resort, coykd cause trip or slip hazards for older or disabled guests. Loose banisters on stairs..falling hazard Water dripping from ceiling near pool table mezzanine...a slip hazard..even with foldable sign there! Cracks in walls with lime mortar..removed. Poor lighting on sensors near pool stairs so could cause trip or fall incident ay night?

Lovely hotel but lacking attention to detail

The hotel on arrival was beautiful. The rooms were fabulous very comfy spacious and excellent shower. The breakfast was lovely with great options. The pool area was beautiful and very clean. Where this hotel fails is the pool bar the food and coctails are far from 5 star. My lunch on the first day was uneatable the waiter took a full plate back and never asked why it hadnt been touch. The pool temperature in main area was freezing and I mean freezing. We brought this to their attentions and they did offer us the preferred club for our two final days. This is the biggest problem i have with the hotel why is there such a divide, does every customer not deserve a warm pool to be able to swim in daily. We all paid a lot of money to be there. They definitely need to hire a mixologist to train their staff at 10- 12 euro per coctail they should be drinkable. Overall this hotel has potential to be fabulous but its lacking attension to detail that are important to customers.

This hotel experience was just alright. It's the third Secrets we've stayed at, and the other two were far better experiences. This one almost seemed like a Secrets knockoff. The pros are quiet rooms, decent pools, good gym, and a marina area within walking distance with great food options/shops. The cons start with the hotel staff. Very few of them looked anything but overworked and unhappy. As a result, any type of service at the hotel, except maid service, was quite poor. Also, I don't know why there was a mad dash every morning at like 07:00 to reserve the beach chairs, but my only guess is there wasn't enough chairs for all the guests. Further aggravating the issue was many guests leaving their towels on chairs and then not returning for several hours. The staff did not ever come around and remove abandoned seats, so you're left with removing a towel yourself if you want a seat. Lastly, this hotel does not care about VIP. It does not honor any of the benefits, and I don't know why it's still listed as a VIP hotel.

I recently stayed at Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa –and have mixed feelings about my experience. The location of the resort was somewhat satisfactory, but it was notably quiet during my stay, which might not be ideal for those seeking a livelier atmosphere. One of the major drawbacks during my visit was the disappointing food selection and quality. The dining options left much to be desired, and I found the variety lacking. This was quite a letdown for a resort of this caliber. Another issue I encountered was communication barriers with the staff. Effective communication is crucial in the hospitality industry, and I experienced difficulties in this aspect, which detracted from the overall experience. However, it wasn't all negative. Two standout individuals, Mateo and Kante, provided exceptional service and a welcoming approach. Their dedication to ensuring a pleasant stay was commendable and greatly appreciated. In summary, my stay at Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa had its ups and downs. While the location was decent, the food options were subpar, and communication with the staff was challenging. Nonetheless, the exceptional service provided by Mateo and Kante deserves recognition. Taking everything into account, I would rate my experience as a three-star stay.

Five star holiday ✨️

Very attentive, friendly service at reception. Rooms very comfortable & very clean. Pool area very calm & welcoming. Good choice of buffet food & service in restaurant good. Evening entertainment, enjoyable. Only complaint, piano bar staff on one night visited were slow & unfriendly. Overall, would highly, definitely recommend for a quiet, luxury get away. Puerto Calero lovely walk to nearby with various boat trips.
