Good if you’re traveling on a budget

An OK place at an affordable price. I took my family to see the Macy’s fireworks on 4th of July. We only spent nights at the hotel, it’s a basic hotel and has all you need, you get what you pay for. The neighborhood Queens is not my favorite, and the zone looks sketchy but we never felt unsafe. It’s location is really close to a train station

Walked in the lobby and up to the “ reception” area to a young woman blankly starring out from behind a small opening in the plastic guard. She asked for $20 (cash only) for an early check in. The room was clean & basic. The elevator was pretty filthy. Towels were thin & small, as were the pillows. The neighborhood is a complete fright. Garbage everywhere. People laying on the pavement. Large groups hanging in front of businesses smoking whatever. The place was cheap enough. Otherwise it’s a below basic spot with no hospitality that seems to be on the outskirts of a third world war zone. Do yourself a favor. Take a pass !

Do not recommend. All of our towels were dirty and stained. The pillows were super flat and uncomfortable so we asked for extra and were denied very rudely. The staff said “you have two pillows don’t you? Its two per room, you don’t get more.” No amenities in the bathroom like shampoo/body wash/soap and we had to basically beg for an extra roll of toilet paper when we ran out.

There is no parking in this hotel because it’s not far from Manhattan. It’s not easy to find street parking spots near there.

Treat yourself better, don’t stay here.

If you’re traveling for work and can only stay here, just stay home and use zoom instead. It’s a very uncomfortable hotel, tiny rooms… the shower water was coming out brown at first. It was 80+ degrees on my floor, during the winter.. which was awful.

It was very disappointing to go during a Christmas holiday and the hotel not even be a little decorated. The whole point of going to New York during a holiday is for decorations and to have a hotel that couldnt even hang a wreath is sad considering all the hotels near this one had trees and lights. It made the hotel feel ghetto and lazy.

Strong Weed Smell in the Room

Pros: convenient location, good price, new Cons: sketchy industrial neighbourhood The hotel itself is nice for the price, newly updated and clean. Room feels much smaller than the provided photos though. What completely ruined my experience is that EVERY SINGLE DAY during my 4-night stay at the hotel I would walk into the very strong smell of weed in my room. This is because someone was smoking in the bathroom and the smell would travel the air ducts. I think it is unacceptable for any hotel at this price. I know the management would say about the nonsmoking policy, but people mentioned it already and management isn’t doing anything. Why not install another smoke detector in the bath or do something else about it? Also, the receptionist would take too many long breaks, it took us 30mins to check in simply because there was no one available.
