Set your expectations tight for the Drake

If you know what you’re getting yourself into and set the expectations right, the Drake is a great alternative to the exorbitant hotel room rates in downtown Nashville. The staff is helpful and the rooms are very serviceable.

Cute, Cozy, and Comfortable

The staff was amazing, my room very cute and cozy, comfy bed, quiet and peaceful despite being right in Nashville. Conveniently close to everything and a great rate, 10/10!
Broadway with so much to do, (GoodNight Nashville is JellyRoll's bar) is less than a ten minute drive, under 4 miles.

Fine

It was fine. The room was comfortable. It smelled a little like people had smoked in the room. The toilet seat was slightly in disrepair. But it was fine.

Desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The property is very run down and could use a major overhaul. Would not recommend staying there.

Disgusting

My room was disgusting The pictures and reviews on hotels.com didn't know justice I should have gone to Google to verify other actual people's pictures and reviews I took several pictures of disgusting stuff because it's too much to type. *Just kidding I just tried to add photos in the app will not let me even after I restarted the app but I have the pictures to send to who needs to see them!*

Stay away from this sh*t hole

Arrived at 10pm. Front desk says that the booked non-smoking room was not available. Was told that I could go to other properties ay 11pm. Finally, magically a room was available, which clearly was a smoking room, so many bugs that had to wear shoes to walk around the room. Impossible to use a disgusting washroom and on top, party on the next room that didn't stop until 4am. Regretted every single minute in this place, hated it and would never consider going back.

Unpleasant Experience Overall

The room was dirty. It's obvious they don't change the sheets. The floor hasn't been mopped in a long time, and it gives you a feeling of disgust. It smells bad, and there's old trash behind the beds. The bathroom smelled of dampness, and the sink didn't work. The area felt unsafe

it's what you pay for. it was inexpensive and near where we needed to be. Ubers to downtown were reasonable
Tanya, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

To be fair it's a 1 star hotel the room was large and clean. It was a Saturday night downtown so noise outside but not bad and served the purpose.

I do not recommend this place to my worse enemy…

When arrived there was homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks in fount of the hotel. We tried to talk to the lady at the front desk she was very rude. They told us to come back in a hour they were busy. The house keepers were outside arguing with each other. The doors fro the rooms were open and the rooms looked filthy. We left as we were a half a block away there was a group of middle aged people walking down the middle of the road yelling and cussing at all the cars driving by. On the corner there were a group of people fighting. We went back to the hotel again the lady’s at the front desk was unhelpful and stated they were busy. At this point I told the lady’s at the desk we did not feel safe staying here. Her response was you will still have to pay for your stay. I told her I would rather pay for the stay than to stay somewhere people were rude and unhelpful. And that our safety is more important than money. My husband and myself then left and never went back. I do not recommend this place to my worse enemy.

Very run down, linens were very thin and towels had bleach marks on them and were so thin you could hardly dry off. The bed was comfortable enough. Bathroom had a water leak and the floor was very wet. Understandably is an old building and inn and priced for that but not very clean overall

Not a place I would stay again. Staff is really nice though.

Disgusting

Walked into the hotel room there was cigarette burns all over the comforters the beds frame was made from 2x4. Floor was coming up and wholes in the flooring. The light switches look like they had not been cleaned in 10 years. Walls looked like a murder scene or dirt and idk what else. Room had a musky, wet smell. Didn’t even walk in to bathroom to check. Outside the hotel you have many people that asked for money and honestly, they look like they were on drugs. This place needs to be shut down! Would have taken pictures to put on here but didn’t want to stay in that room any longer the I did.

Dirty but cheap

I knew going in that we were booking a cheap hotel and expected it to be a bit run down but this was by far the dirtiest room I have ever stayed in. The bed and towels were the only part of the room I would say was clean. Walls had liquid stains all down them, doors were visibly dirty, light switches were dirty, lamp was burnt out and had no shade. Bathtub was literally cracked. We saw some rooms that appeared cleaner but they were booked. Entirely property was run down, pool wasn’t up until end of May so no pool. Sign burnt out. Homeless people all over the property. Floors were dirty, freezer in fridge had all kinds of gunk in it. Door to room was falling apart at the bottom and no sealed properly so spaces all around the door. The only “nice” part was the girl at the front desk when we checked in was super friendly
