Excellent clean hotel with a superb buffet breakfast. The front desk staff are excellen;, very pleasant and helpful. The location is excellent, close to the Camolllia Gate into the old town. An aside, every local person we met on the streets when we were in Siena was pleasant and offered help when we looked a little confused with our directions.

Great stay at Hotel Italia, a hotel that blends its historical building with a modern feel. Great staff and top tip to park at the train station for 2 euros per 24hrs if there is no room in their small car park. Absolutely recommend this hotel!

Hotel Italia was the perfect base for our stay in Siena. Five minutes walk from the station and about 10-15 minutes walk from the centre . The room was clean, comfortable and quiet . Excellent buffet breakfast . Very friendly and efficient staff . Would love to return

Such a great stay

We had a wonderful stay, the staff were so friendly and the breakfast had a lot of variety, delicious! I would only say that the bed was not very comfortable, quite firm, but we found that most beds on our Italy trip were the same. We would definitely stay here agian.

The hotel is located in a safe area, about 15-20 min walking to the centre. Staff was nice and gave us helpful information on where to park. However, no one helped with the luggage. The shower of the room was dirty with black lines across the tiles. We reported and they cleaned it. The air conditioner was set to 23 degrees Celsius fixed and even when reported nothing changed, it was a hot room in July, with no possiblility of opening the windows because we were next to a parking lot. The breakfast was excellent and great service there.

Very nice, friendly staff! The train station and a shopping center are a few minutes walk across street. 20 minutes walk to the main tourist area. The place is very clean. I had a great stay of a few days including a day trip with train ride to Pisa.

Excellent hotel. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Executive king room was very nice, shower with good water pressure. Small elevator but worked fine. Easy walk into historic Siena. We traveled by train and directions provided by hotel staff from train station to hotel were spot on. Be aware escalators in shopping mall go on and on! But are efficient in getting you to upper level where road is to hotel. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend! Great restaurant just down the street called Osteria Rusticamente that has from scratch food and reasonable priced. Lovely husband and wife owned.

Nice hotel close to the top of the escalators from the station, about 20 mins or so walk into the middle of the old city. Friendly welcome, spacious room and bathroom, though I did struggle a little with the A/C (eventually sorted it!). Nice and quiet.

Spacious, clean room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Convenient for train station (with a long escalator ride up/down the cliff). A bit far from the center of the old city, but the city bus is usable and stops very close to the hotel. Not much dining nearby. Nice lounge/bar in hotel, we met other travelers every evening.

Nice hotel near the main entrance to Siena center. Very comfortable rooms and breakfast was included. Need to make parking reservation if you want to park at the Hotel since there are only 9 spots available, otherwise need to park at the street. Good option if you do not want to stay in Siena center.

It was located about 10 mins walking from train station. A beautiful walk surrounded by medieval construction to get to Piazza Il Campo and Siena Cathedral. Truly mesmerizing. The breakfast options was good and plenty.

Excellent in all ways

Beautiful, bright, lovely room. Extremely helpful staff and a delicious breakfast with many choices. We loved being at the top of the escalator from the train and at the entrance to the city. We don't care about being down in the dark street of the old town. Thanks, Hotel Italia.

Uncomfortable at this hotel.

The room is clean but very outdated . No charging facilities for phones etc. The safe does not work. Evert time someone flushes a tiolet we can hear all throu the night. Someone in a showere nearby is heard and quite disturbing. I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel.

Lovely little hotel

We only stayed for one night and the main reason I've booked it was to be close to the railway station. Ones you used a number of escalators to reach the station exit the hotel iz just a couple of min away. The hotel was very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and the ladies working in the breakfast room were amazing. Breakfast was good. Lots of cakes and sweets, however they could serve few more savoury things like veggie sausages and hushbrawns. The room was small but bed was comfortable. There was a kettle to make tea/coffee but only small paper cups not very good for hot drinks so my suggestion would be to provide proper cups and saucers. The city centre was about 20 min walk, however the bus stop was just outside the hotel. Busses 130, 131,131R will take you to there. All in all lovely hotel and we would definitely stay there again.
