Based on our experience today, we'd give it a 9. We don’t give it a 10 because there's a long wait to check in, which is really annoying. We had to wait in line for an hour and a half. The resort should hire more check-in staff. But once we got our keys, everything was great. We'll definitely be back.

Everything went perfect. The food was good, wonderful and polite staff, the place was clean and the evening show was great. I enjoyed a lot my stay. The room just need to be renovated but I guess that they are still recovering from Covid time. I recommend this hotel.

The overall experience of our two night stay was very good. All the staff and the evening entertainment teams, pools, beach & cleanliness were excellent. Our room location and surroundings were very nice. The only thing we found lacking was the bedroom was dated and the balcony patio door did not have a lock. However, our overall enjoyment of our experience was very good!

Great resort for family and fun. If you don’t speak spanish you’ll have a slightly hard time because the staff doesn’t speak english. Lots of walking, no elevators. Amazing night shows and fun games. Overall 7/10

The secure parking area was not secure. Someone made a mess of my door. The food was sub par at best for a place that considers itself so highly rated. The pools and beaches were nice. The food service staff were very good. The reception area not so much.

Poor Value for money

I have experienced many all inclusive resorts in my travels. This was a last minute booking because of the proximity to the Rio Hato airport. The Hotel caters to all inclusive travel operators. It is a very sprawling resort with many pools and restaurants and bars. The room was very dated and furniture from the 80's. Staff were not all that helpful and I would not stay here again.

We were not impressed at all with this property. The service was terrible, the accommodations mediocre at best. There is no ada compliances so if you have trouble getting around do not waste your money. Every where you need to go has stairs. The food was horrible we ended up eating off the premises and grocery shopping.

When we got there the person in the front desk ignored us, he was on the phone, after more than 5 minutes just standing there with my family he decided to greed us and check us in, overall the staff was rude and they need much training on how to treat the guests. Fantastic stay, good food and atmosphere but terrible wifi, no body help with our luggage, they did not give as a package regarding access to what we had. The staff at the front just give us a key and told as the room #. No elevators and we had to drag our suitcases 3 - 6 stairs down and then up to the top floor of the building. This in temperatures of 36 C +. Bad customer service at the front desk. But excellent customer service at the bar and restaurants!

My family and friends recently stayed at Royal Decameron from December 30th - January 1st, 2023. We definitely enjoyed our stay. The plus - The property grounds were beautiful, the beach was glorious, and the overall service was good. Food selection and taste were adequate, but nothing to write home about. I loved the evening shows for kids, a little short, but good. The dance performance by the Royal Decameron dancers was great, it was very entertaining. The number of pools and lagoons I found appropriate for the resort. Plenty of lounge chairs, if you cared to reserve early by placing an article of clothing or towel on it. The minus - lack of organization regarding water sport equipment rental. Tough reservations were made one we still experience 25 to 30 minutes wait times due to oversold appointment slots or equipment maintenance. The furniture in the rooms is serviceable, but clearly outdated. Additional bed lines (blankets) cost extra, which I've never heard about. Lastly, we did not like that premium alcohol was limited to does with certain packages, without the opportunity for another guess with a lesser package to pay for it. I only drink certain kinds of top-shelf liquor and I hated being limited to unknown brands. Overall, I will still recommend this facility, but know that this is not a 4 star resort, but still a safe and fun place for families and couples to vacation.
