Hotel C took a look at the concept of "Squeaky Clean" and thought "nah, we can do better." What I found, consequently, was a hotel and a room where every millimetre was literally shining. Not only clean, but shining, even in the remotest corners. It was as if the whole place had been built yesterday. It almost felt sacrilegious to desecrate such a fresh and sparkling room with my presence. Give the cleaning staff a handsome raise!!
Having no window was no downside at all – on the contrary, the view from the Central Station quarters is nothing to write home about, and the absence of a window also made the room very pleasantly silent. The ventilation worked very well and one shouldn't shy away from a windowless room at all.
As for the breakfast, it followed the trend among hotels in Sweden best described by, "What's for breakfast?" "Everything!" The buffet was the usual lavish 17th century banquet where nothing, absolutely nothing was missing, and where I probably ate for at least half the cost of the room itself.
The staff was also very friendly, and I'd like to add an extra star for the layout of the reception itself as it offered an excellent view of everybody coming in or going out as well as an easy way to deal with any intruders. I felt very safe and protected by this alone.
The only downside I can detect was that the breakfast room tended to be quite crowded during "rush hour," and there were very few two- or four-person tables.
Keep up the good work!
