Great spot in downtown Detroit

This place was in a great location in downtown Detroit; VERY convenient to the airport bus (it picks up right across the street). The building was very quiet but the streets below got noisy with motorcycles later at night. My white noise app took care of that, though. I felt safe here as a solo female traveler, and it was easy to walk around and access public transit from here too.

Value relative to all other options on a Saturday night cannot be beat. Location excellent and this hotel is 500 feet from Westin and Indigo. Clean with a full kitchen incl dishwasher and laundry machines inside the unit. I would stay here again saving half or more the price of everything else that we considered. There are a few homeless people but it was v v safe. I am from Toronto and this is nothing unusual for Toronto's nicest areas. Actually in Toronto they would be vocal and threatening but here they didn't bother us. Room 712 was contemporary with nice decor. Zero mold in shower. Parking options off site are numerous. We parked near a Starbucks and it was 11.99 USD over ight inside a garage. Sunday seems to be free throughout Detroit. A+ for value and comfy bed.

We stay at the Sonder most times we visit Detroit. It's walkable to everything in downtown, Corktown, and Midtown, and the rooms are spacious and have nice amenities. It's a good value compared to the nearby hotels.
