This hotel checked all the boxes. Close enough to the train station at around a 7min brisk walk. Downtown Garmisch was on the same street and a short walk away. The included breakfast hit the spot too!

Excellent location close to mountains, river trail, shops and restaurants. Very clean rooms and facility. Room decor is dated but again very clean. Breakfast buffet has a lot of selections. Very friendly and caring staff. Definitely recommend to book a room with balcony and view of the mountains since the view is spectacular!

The staff were very friendly. The hotel is quite dated. The room had been renovated, however, all of the cracks in the wooden moulding were filled with black mold, and there was a musty smell throughout the hotel.

Comfortable and clean rooms. The location was perfect. Very close to train station and in the middle of Garmisch-Partenkirchen towns. Walking distance to Partnach Gorge and Olympic park. Very easy to get to Eibsee and Zugspitze by train, bus, or car. Helpful staff. Superb breakfast included in price. Also a spa and pool which I didn’t have time to use but it’s there.

Hotel is near the center of town so it’s easy to walk everywhere. Breakfast doesn’t start until 7 am but they gave me a tray of coffee service earlier. My only complaint is the bed is short. I’m just under 6 ft and had to sleep diagonally.

Charming traditional German hotel

Second time staying at this hotel (last time was 2013). Charming hotel, nice people, large nicely appointed rooms, beds are a little more firm than we prefer (typically German), super soft squishy pillows. Breakfast was good - excellent coffee! - with quite a few choices for us non-meat eaters. Balcony door barely latched - with a little finagling it would not pop open. It needs to be fixed for security reasons. We would stay here again.

We chose this hotel based on the reviews, especially what they said about the mountain views, and we were so glad we did. We fell in love as soon as we looked out of our window. Yes it’s an older facility…no A/C in the summer, and the pipes are still heated in the bathroom in warmer months which was difficult for us. But otherwise we really loved this place. We liked that it wasn’t directly “downtown” and it’s super convenient to the train station and grocery stores. The staff is amazing and the views are magnificent.
