We try to park on the car park, no signs , no English, No signs in the lift finding reception. Second night could not get in to the hotel because the main door could not open and no one was at reception!

This is the worst hotel Ive ever stayed at. Iur room had no phone to contact reception, windows that didnt fully close so the outside noise was constant and the bathroom had tiles falling off. We ran iut of toilet paper and reception was closed so we had none for the night. I wouldnt stay here again even if it was free. Its an old and run down hotel that doesnt even operate like a proper hotel.

Hotel is middle of the road for sure. Definitly not "premium". Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was very helpful. Good European style breakfast. No lunch or dinner. Restuarant right next door is authentic German and very good. About a $35 USD cab ride to Cologne city center. Must call for cab. Close to Cologne Messe convention center.

We paid extra for the larger room. Nice large room with a giant window. ** Don't stay if you like to be warm. The heat only goes to 22c. 90% of the time it was at 21c. Coming in from a day out, you had to wear your jacket. The beds were small and extremely hard. The staff was friendly and house keeping checked in everyday. The front desk did bring up extra comforter because the room would not stay even at 22c.

Customer service was poor, they were asking me to pay extra, sauna didnt work and this is why we took this hotel from the others. Food on the breakfast bad quality. Room was big, that was a good thing. No towels in the room and customer service tried to get us towels 10.30PM when we were sleeping.

This is my second visit to this hotel and both last time and this time the cleaning of the room was not that nice. In both cases I found things from previous guests. This time it was an empty liquor bottle in a cupboard. And they have to change my room because some of lights was not working (no light in the bathroom), Both rooms the safe was not working, and the list keeps going It’s really a shame because this is all things that could be easily handled by a little care and attention

The room was surprisingly dirty. The bathroom was quite dirty, and had mold around the caulking in the shower. There was no shampoo or conditioner. We were upgraded to the fifth floor, which had a balcony / garden. The weeds were growing quite well, and the entire garden was unkept. You were not able to adjust the heat, and had to go to bed with the door and windows open to offset the 23C temp. Therefore we had to deal with street traffic noise, etc. I rarely give bad reviews, but I had to for this hotel. BTW the breakfast and service in the restaurant was very good.

The hotel was clean and spacious. Unfortunately their Aircon/heating was broken. The room temperature was stuck at 25C. Making it very uncomfortable for sleeping. When addressing this with the hotel staff, they shrugged their shoulders and told me that "the company already fixed it." I told them this clearly wasn't the case but they seemed unwilling to go back to the aircon service company! All very polite and friendly, but it is clear that their management could not stand up for their customers (paying guests) to the aircon company. Disappointing

The hotel has a nice veneer. On the surface, it appears well-apportioned with all the ysual amenities. However, just about everything is just a bit off. Parkibg (as mentioned by other reviews) is a mess. We got in but couldn't get into the hotel section of the underground lot. The check in girl had to come down to open the internal gates. Leaving was even worse. The hotel doesn't have a night staff and when we tried to leave at 6 am, the pay kiosks didn't work. We had to wait a half an hour for someone to show up. Fortunately, we had built in extra time to drive to the airport in Frankfurt. The hotel is not in Köln proper. Expect to drive to the city, grab an Uber or figure out public Thewas big and clean but furnishings were dated. The a/c was functional. The 3rd bed (cot) leg had a nasty habit of collapsing. The shower wand holder was broken and there was a leak under the tub. The breakfast was good. Probably the best scrambled eggs I had in Europe. The restaurant attached (not part of the hotel) had excellent sauerbraten and dumplings. The vending machine also didn't dipense product paid for. The desk clerk also couldn't get it to work. The staff was attentive and did what they could but you coukd tell they've been dealing with these issues for a long time. There is a nice bar set up in the lobby but I never saw it staffed. All in all, the hotel served it's purpose and none of the issues ruined the trip but with a few tweaks, the hotel could be very nice.
