An old coaching inn well sited in Salisbury very close to the city centre and close to Cathedral and other historical sites. The hotel is very comfortable with well equipped rooms.

8/10 Very good

Location great, hotel very average for the money

I stayed whilst working in the area. I have to say I've stayed in fair nicer hotels for less money! The room was averagely clean, dust in the bathroom, no where to store wash bag other than the floor. The room was not replenished with tea/coffee one morning and dirty cups remained. The breakfast was self service, no decent coffee (latte etc was charged as an extra) very basic again for the money. Having said that, the location was fantastic but I just felt it was quite expensive for what was provided.

February 2025 Stay

I was happy to have received an upgrade to a better room. I did find the hotel to be a bit noisy.

Great place to stay, shopping and dining options galore. I stay here every time I go to England, only 1 1/2 hours to Heathrow
Al, 2-night trip

Excellent location, breakfast and staff. Very old, cozy hotel with amazing history!
William, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Furthest room on third level of building with no elevator. Room itself nice but only a fan to cool it. Radiators had been blasting heat and no turnoff on towel heater. Room was located above the corner of two busy, noisy streets, making it hard to sleep or even watch television. Thankfully there was a fan in the closet to make the room bearable.
Anne, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

The entry courtyard is adorable as well as the intricate carvings and woodwork in the front lounge area. The hotel is clearly very old and has been added to through the years...making the layout quite maze-like. It was an interesting place to stay in Salisbury, and I think you have to check it out at least once. But, now that I have, I would probably look somewhere else if I'm through Salisbury again. Breakfast was quite expensive for just ok food.

2/10 Poor

Great location dating back to the early 1200s, and with room layout and motif matching its historical timeframe as much as possible, while still having modern conveniences.
