10/10 Exceptional

Amazing location in Marleybone, 2 mins walk from Madame Tussauds or Regents Park & tube stations. Lots of great places to eat close by.
Tony, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Lovely Colonial type decor, friendly staff, great history of building. Pity cooked breakfast wasn’t available.
Alicia, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Outdated but totally saved by location.

This is not a 4-star property. Should be awarded 3-stars on the location alone.
Jonas, 3-night trip

2/10 Poor

No hot water and a funny smell.
Samuel, 2-night trip

4/10 Fair

Really poor experience

No hot water in the shower, shower head broken, thread bare carpets, wall paper peeling, excess mechanical noise, general condition was very poor not a four star hotel.
2-night trip

6/10 Good

Was fine but the hotel seemed really tired which is a shame given its history. Needs some money spent on it
Ian, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Nice property, was what I needed for the night.

Would stay there again in the future

Catfished

I, along with many others was catfished by the images, description and pricing of the hotel. Only stayed for half an hour and checked out. I would suggest that this site and other booking engines actually visit this hotel.

comfortable and enjoyable
william, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The hotel was very dated. The lamp and walls were damaged, the wood of the step leading to the balcony was very old and decaying, there was no bar to hang the toilet paper on. The sink was corroding, so I had to buy bottled water elsewhere. But overall I had a good experience. It was very quiet, in a nice part of town, and the service was good. The bedding felt very clean and the room had everything I needed.
Lila, 4-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Property was clean and the staff was welcoming
Valter, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Most of the staff were lovely, some didn't speak to us. Overall we were very comfortable. When the rooms were cleaned oddly they didn't remove the used coffee cups and spoo s and replace them. Only complaint is that the restaurant ouy the front, weirdly turns into an all out night club of sorts on Saturday night, music is pumping 😬😂. And the wall are paper thin. Ita a boutique hotel, full of beautiful charm you hear people upstairs and in hallways so dont whinge about it.its a bloody old building in London and its stunning.

Great locstion

The hotel is in a great location, ideal for travrlling into central London. It was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for our short stay. We got upgraded to a bigger room as there was no single beds available on our arrival, which was nice and spacious. There are some elements of the hotel that are in need of modernising or replacing but was pleasantly surprised after reading the poor reviews. Dont be put off by others who moan about the small details. This is a nice, freindly, comfortable hotel.
Sarah, 3-night trip

4/10 Fair

In need of TLC.

The hotel clearly had character, right now, its in desperate need of TLC. Its a marvellous building, with a presence and historical depth. Unfortunately it is weathered and worn. Carpets are stained, doors didn't shut, tiling had holes, skirting boards are grubby etc.
Carpet stains
Unsightly toilet and tiling
Mouldy shower
Filthy pipes

2/10 Poor

Shabby and in disrepair!
Tina Danae, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

More like a 2 star hotel and not 4.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel, more like a 2 star - don't get fooled. Only positive are the nice and friendly staff when they're actually interacting with you and the location - nice near a tube.
2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The Hotel is in an excellent location close to the tube station in a quiet neighbourhood with clean large well furnished rooms. On the downside the décor was a bit old fashioned & breakfast was continental only. The staff were pleasant & polite. We would certainly stay there again.
Peter, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Location was great in terms of transport links. Staff were very nice and the building looked lovely. Our room needed some attention in terms of updating the bathroom which was very tired looking and not functioning particularly well. But everything was clean and it served its purpose. Would stay there again.
Quentin, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

This hotel is very close to Sheridan Square and Little Venice. It's a short and beautiful walk from a lot of restaurants and parks. It's also very close to an Underground station, making it very convenient for travel to central London attractions.

Val, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

It was a little run down but a beautiful old house. Everyone was very nice and accommodating since we arrived a couple hours before check in. One of the drawbacks to flying over from the US, an early arrival.
Sandra Lee, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Good value

Old fashioned hotel with comfortable beds and a hospitable reception. Could probably do with a lick of paint, but I like older properties and it's a lovely building.
