When you walk in, the grand staircase, Mexico style, presents a lush garden view as you ascend the stairs. The front desk, well versed in English, greets you warmly. The Area of the hotel is located right in the middle of the town. Very convenient to the restaurants and where the locals sell their trinkets, shoes, clothes and other items. The breakfast which was included was delicious and very nice area to sit and enjoy. The staff is very friendly and always someone there to assist you in any questions you may have. This is an amazing hotel! My daughter and I spent our few days in Chapala in its garden and on the lakefront. Never have I found it so difficult to leave. The facility is world class, the staff is attentive and kind, and breakfast is high end restaurant quality. That garden is something which will haunt me forever. If you visit the lake and fail to stay here, you messed up. Now I go back to Wisconsin crying.
