The hotel had an amazing location, and our room was accessable without starrs ( I ude a walker), but we had to climb some very steep paths. The room was nice, but terrible cold, so we had to put on the hairdryer and point it towards the beds, to get just a bit of heat.

This property was pretty cool. It sits on top of a hill and has goats right outside. There are lots of hiking trails nearby. We got there after 6:00pm, so they sent us an e-mail with instructions to get our room key that was privately put outside our room in a lockbox. The only thing I didn't like is there was still trash in our bathroom trashcan, but that won't ruin our review!

We checked out within 10 mins of checking in. The bar and restaurant were closed and the nearest village was 4k away. Didn't find the receptionist helpful nor empathetic towards us. Wouldn't even give us the wifi code so we could book an Uber.

De weg naar locatie, via parkeerterrein met slagboom, is verwarrend, zeker in het donker. Uitzicht vanuit kamer 2 is lelijk, je ziet alleen daken in het Märchenwald. Bed en sanitair zijn goed. Er is geen restaurant voor ontbijt. Wel bestek op de kamer, geen borden. Wastafel was gebarsten, wat vooraf niet gemeld is.

Fine og rene værelser ved ankomst, men der blev ikke gjort rent på værelset dagligt; skrald og flasker ikke fjernet og seng ikke redt i løbet af opholdet.

Der Ort um den Altenberger Dom ist ein Kraftort. Das Hotel und der Märchenwald sind liebevoll gestaltet und fügen sich harmonisch in die Natur ein. Der Auto-Verkehr wird gut geführt, so dass der Ort nicht gestört wird. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Trotz der "zweifelhaft sinnvollen" Corona Vorschriften ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Zimmer modern und sauber, sehr gute Betten und ein üppiges sehr leckeres Frühstück. Das Hotel können wir uneingeschränkt empfehlen.
